About the role

What does an Account Manager do?
  • You partner with the key players in the On Trade 
  • You bring our brands to life in the Bars, Clubs and Restaurants, focusing on the Prestige ones, by building brilliant relationships and working in partnership with our customers.
  • You also ensure a fluent partnership and a perfect stream of communication between Bacardi, our On-Trade clients and the local partners of Wholesale.
  • You drive the performance and growth of Bacardi’s brands through searching for new business, driving distribution and connecting with the consumer.

  • You are all about Hospitality, Trends and the On Trade, in which you have a good deal of experience.
  • Your entrepreneurial style means that you will thrive on being the main contact for our key customers, driving new business, distribution and maintaining sustainable relationships.
  • Your strong communication and interpersonal skills will be key to your success in this role. You recognise the importance of relationships and work hard to build them.
  • Moreover, you have a keen eye on the business indicators of our clients and you manage your portfolio as a true business unit, demonstrating resourceful & self-disciplined abilities.
  • Most importantly, you feel at home in the top end of the On Trade, advocating our brands and putting consumer at the heart. 


With our Consumer at the heart, your key focus will be to:
  • Partner with key customers by building outstanding relationships in the On Trade outlets, understanding their needs, their local consumers and developing and executing solutions.
  • Deliver on & master the key selling metrics: Brand Distribution, Visibility in outlet, Menu share, New Business, Promotion & ROI for each partnership.
  • Work in partnership with customers, acting as business contact to deliver 360° solutions, resolving all questions/issues. This also means working hand in hand with local wholesale partners.
  • Responsible for winning new business listings while retaining and growing existing business, thanks to identified growth drivers (premiumization, topline sales, adequate investments…)
  • Collaborate cross functionally with Marketing, CPA and Brand Ambassadors to bring our amazing brands to life, through hosting events and executing ‘best in class’ brand activations.
  • Share best practices with the On-Trade team and learn out of others.
  • Monitor and evaluate promotional activities against budget, conducting ROI analysis

Skills and Experience

The Skills & Experience needed to create your legacy
  • Experience in Sales On-Trade Sector required. Activation experience would be beneficial. Selling is key.
  • Demonstrable track record of performance and delivery (results and/or achievements). Passion about new business.
  • Strong (social) networking / interpersonal and relationship building skills.
  • Strong analytical, planning, and time managements skills
  • Well-developed communication / presentation skills (Active Listening)
  • Creative thinker. Digital savvy.
  • A strong knowledge in cocktails and spirits, and the ability to educate and inspire our customers about those is a plus.

  • You are pro-active, goal-oriented and passionate about delivering results and constantly seek to improve.
  • You create strong positive first impressions and easily build those into great relationships with customers.
  • You find it easy to understand the needs of others and build those into innovative solutions that delight consumers and customers and deliver bottom line results.

  • You demonstrate entrepreneurial thinking, looking for new ways to achieve better results.
  • You are resourceful & have a strong self-starting attitude, which means that you feel comfortable making your own decisions and taking accountability for them.
  • Experience & network in the relevant region is needed for this position.
  • French is compulsory. English is strongly encouraged, and Dutch is appreciated.
