About the role

Your Opportunity

This role covers the staffing for all airport activations in India, neighboring countries and South East Asia – this means the responsibility for selecting and training promoters so that we can deliver the GTR vision of inspiring travelling consumers to love and share our iconic brands. The selection of promoters will require a close working relationship with staffing agencies across markets to ensure that we always have the highest caliber of promoters with exceptional customer service skills.

The Training Manager will also manage the team of 35 retail ambassadors (RA) in India and 25 RAs in SEA and will be responsible for their on-going training needs, maintaining the relevant training materials and ensuring a pipeline of future Trainers.

The role is based in India, preferably Delhi or Mumbai. Extensive travel is a requirement and there is an expectation that 70% of the time will be in the India & Neighboring Countries and 30% in SEA.

Typically, a market visit will include
  1. meeting the staffing agency
  2. attending, observing and assessing the training sessions, and
  3. observing the activation and Ras. 
The Training Manager will be required to visit at least two-three Airports in India monthly.

Responsibilities

With our Consumer at the heart, your key focus will be to:
  • Responsible for the recruitment, coaching and mentoring of new retail ambassadors via Bacardi GTR Advocacy induction. 
  • Align with commercial team on realistic but ambitious sales targets and manage the monthly A&P budgets for retail ambassadors
  • Managing the A&P budget for all training needs
  • Responsible for tracking & monitoring retail sales targets to support commercial targets
  • Assess needs, requirements & performance of retail ambassadors to drive performance and motivation
  • Lead brand trainings with both retail ambassadors & generic staff (with premiumization focus)
  • Responsible for the successful planning and execution of the 12-month training calendar across assigned markets
  • Measure & evaluate the advocacy spends to ensure return on investments
  • Train promotional staff prior to HPA/SPPs and lead drinks execution during events. 
  • Support the shop window (AVQPAP) to achieve consistently Picture of Success score monthly
Measure of success
  • The Advocacy Training Manager has a team of Retail Ambassador’s to cover all airport activations in India
  • All Retail Ambassador’s must exceed the pass mark for all Training sessions they attend
  • Co-create training materials with subject matter experts, particularly the GTR Marketing team.
  • Bacardi secures the most talented Promoters on the staffing agencies books
  • Promoters receive face to face training for all activations and are ready for day one
  • A&P (Advocacy trainings) and T&E are managed within Budget
  • Measure sales performance throughout the activation
