About the role
Responsibilities
- Manage local/outsourced teams to deliver the agreed SLA (Service Level Agreement) to the business
- Support local legacy application, if any left that has not been replaced yet
- Be the local contact for the global IT teams to manage global projects
- Support any local Business meetings, VIP support when required
- Input into operations budget if required
- Provide high level customer service support in daily incident, problem and performance management through in-depth root cause analysis
- Regularly review and propose preventative and corrective maintenance through Change Management processes and maintenance schedules to meet minimum unplanned down time.
- Participate in integration & release & change management planning to ensure alignment of all teams with initiatives.
- Maintain and update technical documentations as well as cross-train other team members.
- Able to act as the situation manager substitute in case of crisis.
- Participate in SAP technical improvement projects implementing new processes, technologies, and infrastructures using project management methodologies.
- Participate in Global Enterprise projects providing technical expertise and influencing technical decisions.
- Maintain disaster recovery procedures and documentation and participate in scheduled tests.
- Participate in planning, building cutover plans, communication, and coordination between internal customers and infrastructure teams to deliver Basis services per service level agreement, e.g. system refreshes, upgrades, etc.
- Continuously research to understand new technology trends including current SAP technologies and be able to communicate clearly the business impact and benefits to the organization.
- Project planning and assisting others in ensuring they are using the proper techniques when scheduling their support work/projects
Skills and Experience
- Master Degree in Information Technology / Computer Science or equivalent vocational IT education in combination with several years as a SAP System Specialist in an international organization and / or as a Consultant.
- 5+ years working on SAP Basis.
- Experience in SAP Basis and related software installations, upgrades, testing, and configuration supporting enterprise projects in Solution Manager, FIORI, GW, Web Dispatcher, BO DS, BO BI, SCC, CPI, SDI, SLT and the latest SAP technologies, including SAP Cloud Platform
- Experience on ITIL concepts and methodology
- Experience on Infrastructure Windows| MS SQL | Linux | HANA
- Experience in building cutover plans and understanding implication of each system and activity
- ABAP programming & scripting experience – a real plus.
- Business fluent in English
- Understanding of IT governance and operations, IT controls (privacy, security)
- Understand the impact of technology on the business processes/results (example – impact of one minute server outage on the production of bottles)
- Experience in running Helpdesk/support to end-users, incident management, data center management
- Ability to communicate to end-users, ability to explain technology
- Experience interacting with outsourced services and vendor management
- Experience supporting mission critical systems. Ability to do problem resolution and trouble shooting.
- Ability to work as a team (we have a follow-the-sun approach)
