About the role

Your Opportunity

This role will be responsible for executing the reconciliation of the excise tax accounts for different countries. Will be responsible to perform transactional level tasks, generating reports, performing month end close activities, preparing the excise tax balance sheet accounts reconciliation, working with local market teams to clean up the differences in the accounts. This role should become knowledgeable about excise tax and local compliance rules and excise tax filings and processes. The analyst should prepare the paperwork for tax accounts reconciliation and any other information required to prepare adjustments in the balance sheet accounts. 

About You 

This role is for you if you are interested in a career in the accounting area, willing to learn about excise tax in different jurisdictions, interact across many functions with other Bacardi professionals. The desired candidate will deal with sensitive data and must ensure conformity with policies, procedures, and regulations of Bacardi. 


With our Consumer at the heart, your key focus will be to:
  • Extraction and review of data from SAP for the preparation of the balance sheet reconciliations. 
  • Responsible for the quality and timely submission of the data the supports the excise tax accounts balance sheet reconciliation. 
  • Assist on the timely submission and delivery of accounting reports and all supporting documentation of the excise tax accounts. 
  • Coordination with other BES teams, taxes, supply chain and/or local finance contacts of any information required to perform the balance sheet reconciliation and solve open items in the accounts or establish the action plan to clean the accounts.
  • Control and monitor that all differences in the excise tax accounts are clean. 
  • Keep updated the Desktop Manuals (DTM) with the processes and flows of information. 
  • Keep control and upload in a single repository all the documentation that supports the balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Assist with the internal controls to ensure tax accounts reconciliations´ quality and timely submission.

Skills and Experience

The Skills & Experience needed to create your legacy
  • Educational requirements: Accounting technician degree, bachelor´s degree or advanced studies in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration. 
  • Previous experience with SAP desired but not mandatory. 
  • Advanced with the MS Office Suite, particularly MS Excel ( pivot tables, IF formulas, vlookup formulas, group and subtotal the data)
  • Previous experience in accounting: 1-3 years.
  • Strong experience in balance sheet accounts reconciliations: 1 year at least.
  • Analytical, interpersonal, and organizational skills. 
  • Attention to details.
  • Ability and willingness to assume responsibility for accuracy and timeliness of work assigned. 
  • Intermediate- Advance English skills.
