YOUR OPPORTUNITY
Work directly with the bottling line ensuring the machinery and equipment is in full operation throughout the workday.  Perform necessary troubleshooting and able to provide management with    corrective measures.  Able to clearly communicate and train the bottling team on all equipment. Must be able to understand and conduct all jobs of the bottling line and complete any other tasks assigned by management.

Responsibilities

RESPONSIBILITIES - WITH OUR CONSUMER AT THE HEART YOUR KEY FOCUS WILL BE
  • Operate bottling line machines/equipment in a correct, safe and efficient manner demonstrating an excellent working knowledge of company safety policies and procedures and practice same with regard to self, co-workers and equipment.
  • Detect malfunctions of bottling line machines/equipment and troubleshoot problems correctly and in a timely manner. 
  • Inspect product and packaging materials throughout the various stages for quality to ensure product is bottled and packaged according to quality standards and specifications. 
  • Ensure all safety procedures and standard operating procedures (SOP) are accurately followed and documented. 
  • Coordinate and assist set-up operations on a daily basis.
  • Fully trained, knowledgeable, and competent with all bottling line machines & associated tasks including the use of Production related documentation, Recording of downtime, etc.
  • Assume responsibility for and respond to line stoppages. When the Line Technician is assigned to a bottling line spot they reallocate line personnel to ensure machines stay in operation while attending call on the same line.
  • Technical expert on the line responsible for training line production personnel in proper operation, autonomous maintenance, and change-over of machinery.
  • Participate in SMED activities to improve overall changeover process and line performance.
  • Will also need to quickly identify problems with bottling line equipment, assisting and training the team to identify/troubleshoot, make adjustments & corrections to line equipment as necessary.
  • Maintain communication with the Supervisor, Team Lead and maintenance personnel when recurring malfunctions related to the equipment and processes.
  • Responsible for providing real time feedback / Improvement Opportunities to Supervisor or Team Lead.
  • Actively participates and is engaged in safety initiatives, problem solving, Lean, Self-Directed Teams, continuous improvement and line efficiencies.
  • Ability to work any shift and/or overtime as required.
  • Perform housekeeping and sanitation duties as assigned. 
  • Comply with all Environmental, Health & Safety policies and training. 
  • Perform other duties and tasks as assigned by supervisor.

  • Must possess reading & comprehension, writing and mathematical skills and ability to follow directions and complete recordkeeping as needed. 
  • Must exhibit good communication and organization skills and be detail oriented. 
  • Must demonstrate dependability and timeliness. 
  • Must be self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently. 
  • Must possess strong interpersonal skills and work well in a team environment. 
  • Must possess strong problem solving and trouble-shooting skills. 
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment. 
  • Ability to work in non-climate-controlled environments and outdoors as needed. 
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time. 
  • Ability to lift and carry 50 lbs. and perform repetitive work actions. •
EXTERNAL QUALIFICATIONS – DEGREE, CERTIFICATION, ADDITIONAL TRAINING

Minimum Education:
  • High School diploma or equivalent
Minimum Experience:
  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Basic maintenance experience required (3yrs)
  • Manufacturing experience preferred (3yrs)
  • Technical training recommended
  • Mechanical Aptitude
  • Prior experience in running and troubleshooting automated equipment.
  • Proficient with handtools
  • Bottling Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) including but not limited to Bottling Efficiency, Right First Time, productivity, etc. are met or exceeded per departmental targets.  
  • Meet or exceed all departmental safety requirements including, but not limited to, completion of Safety Observations, participation on Safety Committee, etc.
