About the role

Get ready to be the “General Manager” of BACARDÍ Rums and the mental “Marketing Director” across the Cluster! You will be accountable for driving BACARDÍ brand equity, financial performance, market share, as well as leading and developing a brilliant “All-In” marketing team. A seamless collaboration with Customer marketing, advocacy and experiential are business critical to deliver the “One Team” success.

You will develop, execute & evaluate the BACARDÍ annual marketing plan that hold integrated customer and consumer programs. As voice of Consumer Marketing Team, you will be a key member of the BNL-NOR Leadership Team, led by the Cluster Director. In addition, you will be a key representative of the European business at a Global marketing level.

You are a born Marketing Leader who places the consumer at the heart of your work. Using penetrating insights, you inspire others to execute innovative brand campaigns that push the boundaries, deliver commercial growth and nurture long term brand equity.
Strong relationships define you and you demonstrate strong gravitas in building close partnerships across the Matrix – both within and outside our Company.

Responsibilities

• Take, translate, and execute Global strategies to drive Market share & BNL-NOR performance across the BACARDÍ portfolio.
• Coach, inspire & develop the BNL-NOR BACARDÍ Brand Manager (1 direct report), and lead (indirectly) the Cluster Marketing community to execute innovative brand campaigns that push the boundaries, inspire change through the line and impact consumer behaviour. As Consumer Marketing representative within the Cluster Leadership Team, you drive an “All-In” culture that is based on collaboration across the matrix.
• Lead Integrated Activity Planning (IAP) and the allocation of your brand A&P, working closely with the Managing Director, CPA Director, and Regional Brand Director. Diversify the channel & occasion mix to keep winning during & post Covid.
• Define short-mid-long-term growth plans, strategic priorities, implement global pricing strategy and methods for measuring and evaluating A&P spend effectiveness.
• Be accountable for your Brand(s) P&L incl. budget management & road mapping sustainable growth.
• Work in close partnership with the international team, occasionally partnering to co-create assets / deliver projects and ensuring the Cluster’s voice is heard and considered in the strategic development.
• Supervise agency & media partnerships to get the best possible return & lead transformational marketing opportunities.
• Actively monitor Brand KPI’s an provide guidance on corrective action. Ensure clear M&E for 80% of total investment, identify & prove-out growth drivers to scale in service of the roadmap.
• Expectation to travel 25% of time to be close to the team and consumers in each Market (adhering to Covid restrictions).

Skills and Experience

• Strong (5-10y) Marketing experience with exceptional brand building skills. Familiar with multi-market dynamic (8 countries in scope), innovation, digitization, influencer marketing & premiumization. Proven track record proving business savviness that reaches beyond building beautiful campaigns & long-term impact.
• Great analytical & commercial acumen/execution skills with the ability to translate brand strategies into a tangible commercial advantage. With strong understanding of channel, price, promotional activity and through-the-line activation.
• Gravitas to influence and manage multiple stakeholders in a complex matrix environment. Comfortable working with ambiguity & change.
• Decisiveness in making timely, fearless decisions, focussing the team and business on the key priorities for brand and wider the “BEST10” company vision.
• Ability and commitment to coach, develop and provide opportunities for Primos to grow. Inspire and lead agencies to deliver world class work.
• Digitally savvy with the ability to connect people and systems in the delivery of results. Early adopter of technology. Relevant experience working with On-Trade, Digital Commerce and/or CRM is advantageous.
• Languages – English essential, French and other European languages are advantageous.
