About the role

What does a Brand Manager do?

Brand Managers understand the fundamental drivers of the brand, business, customers, partners, and competitors. They are responsible for adapting a brand strategy and maintain brand integrity across all company marketing initiatives and communications and may manage a portfolio of products. Their Insights are critical to make smart decisions in the pursuit of long-term value creation for the brand & organization.  

About You 

You are a Marketing Leader who places consumer insights at the heart of your work. You inspire others to develop innovative brand campaigns that push the boundaries, delivering commercial growth and nurturing long term brand equity. You will be trusted to dive right in, take the lead, use initiative, and help build iconic brands. Strong relationship define you and you are skilled in building close partnerships across functions and leadership levels – both within and outside Bacardi.

Responsibilities

With our Consumer at the heart, your key focus will be to:
  • Craft innovative strategies that push the boundaries, inspire change and impact consumer behavior to drive growth for the Brand in Mexico
  • Identify trends and customer needs, building a short/medium/long- term business pipeline to meet targets.
  • Lead Integrated Activity Planning (IAP) in Mexico and the allocation of brand investment 
  • Coordinate and implement Marketing Strategies to achieve strategic goals
  • Own Brand P&L 
  • Drive collaboration across the matrix to execute with brilliance at a local level 
  • Motivate the team, track performance and report metrics

Skills and Experience

The Skills & Experience needed to create your legacy
  • 7+ years of broad marketing experience in consumer goods and or spirits. Relevant experience in Mexico 
  • Strong Commercial acumen and the ability to translate great brand strategies into a tangible commercial advantage with a strong understanding of: Channel, price, promotional activity and through-the-line activation 
  • Business acumen, understanding of all areas of a business and how they are interconnected in order to make long term decisions
  • Digitally savvy with social media expertise and the capacity to connect people and systems in the delivery of results
  • Proven leadership within a matrix organisation, managing multiple stakeholders in a complex environment 
  • Bachelor´s degree in Marketing or Business
  • Spanish native speaker. English bilingual
