About the role

Your Opportunity

The JDSL Bulk Planning Team are responsible for planning and preparing operations within the Bulk Department, liaising with customers, ERP/MRP system maintenance and transacting customer sales/purchases. As a part of this team the Bulk Customer Service Specialist will take the lead in communicating with our internal and external customers, providing documentation as required, confirming schedules and completing system transactions, all as part of fulfilling our team’s operational and strategic aims. 

About You 

As the Bulk Customer Service Specialist you will play a key role in the Bulk Planning team as we aim to further our requirements in line with our business growth plans, ensuring smoothness and efficiency as we conduct our operations and ensure that our communications with our customers are carried out in a timely and satisfactory manner.

You will receive and process orders for Bulk liquid exports, liaising with the Bulk Planners to schedule and transact operations; you will transact sales of aged inventory to 3rd parties, assist the Bulk Planning Manager in configuring and setting up new operations, performing inventory management at 3rd party locations. The JDSL Bulk team are a key chain in the bottling and liquid handling operations, and this role will involve close working with the Bulk Planning team Manager and the other Planning team members, the JDSL Finance and Compliance teams, co-packer sites around the world (both 3rd party and Bacardi locations), the JDSL Production and Planning teams, and the JDSL quality teams, and others.

The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic and proactive, a keen team participant, and most importantly have excellent communication skills. They will have knowledge and experience of  SAP/DRAMS, or similar MRP systems, and all round good IT skills. 


With our Consumer at the heart, your key focus will be to:
  • Receive and process orders for bulk spirit exports, including export documentation generation
  • Receive and process orders for customer sales
  • Provide system reports and inventory management for held customer stock
  • Perform SEED and compliance checks on new customers
  • Raise orders for ingredients needed for spirit manufacturing at 3rd party co-packers
  • Perform inventory management for stock at co-packer locations
  • Participate in UAT sessions for new customer operations
  • Coach other team members in best practice related to customer focused procedures
  • To identify and drive continuous improvements in procedures and operations
  • Providing cover to other team members when needed and engaging in cross-functional support within the team
  • Assist Bulk Planning Manager in KPI report generation and budget creation

Skills and Experience

The Skills & Experience needed to create your legacy
  • Experience in BOS or Lean Manufacturing implementation, ideally in advanced implementation or mature phase (3+ years of experience)
Functional skills:
  • Ability to balance and prioritize workloads 
  • Ability to work closely with others within the team, but also other internal functions (Finance, Customs Compliance, Production team, etc.)  
  • Experience in SAP/DRAMS or similar MRP/ERP systems
  • Highly competent in Microsoft Office applications and IT systems in general
  • KPI sharing, analysis and tracking experience
  • Presentation Skills
  • Good data collection, problem solving and analytical abilities
  • Excellent numeric and analytical skills
  • Excellent communication skills
