What does a Business Development Manager do?

You are responsible for the implementation of the TAILS business plan in your area with full accountability and achieve results while hunting for new business & increase ROS in our existing universe.
You will create the legacy of TAILS and drive key decisions that will significantly affect our presence in all high volume cocktail locations
You will bring TAILS to life by building brilliant and strategic relationships and working in partnership with our customers
You drive the performance and growth of TAILS through searching for new business, driving distribution and connecting with the consumer. 

Please note that the location is flexible on this role, based in either in the Norway HQ (Oslo) or in the Sweden HQ (Stockholm).

  • Accountable for building & sustaining partnerships with Key Accounts, Hotel groups, MPOs (multiple pub operators), & Buying groups that has a good fit with Tails batched cocktails in Nordics.
  • Accountable to deliver revenue and key commercial targets for the Tails business.
  • Supportive to On-trade sales teams in executing our Tails strategy in independent On-trade outlets and Events Support within Nordics.
  • Defining strategy & tactics of how to win within the batched cocktails market in Nordics
  • Developing winning account plans with prioritized customers; Creating effective long-term relationships with strategic customers and key stakeholders to drive financial impact 
  • Working very closely with all Bacardi Account Managers, Event Managers, Ambassadors and other key stakeholders in your region
  • Developing and nurturing internal relationships across operations, marketing and commercial functions.
  • Developing and nurturing relationships with industry influencers related to batched trends through excellent customer relationships building.
  • Executing your Tails Business KPI’s with excellence
  • Ensure excellent execution of Key Customer Advocacy & Marketing activities in outlets  
  • Reporting on progress to various stakeholders in the organization

Skills and Experience

  • You are Pro-active, Goal-oriented and Passionate about delivering sustainable results and constantly seek to improve 
  • You love the consumer. You easily build and maintain great relationships with (key) customers, key stakeholders and distributers 
  • You demonstrate Resilience and can help build this in others, through nurturing a strong ‘family’ culture
  • You demonstrate entrepreneurial thinking and are fearless in looking for new ways to achieve better results
  • You have an open mind, entrepreneurial person, not afraid to do things different
  • You have minimum 3 years Sales commercial experience, including multichannel experience in the on trade
  • You are experienced in mainstream and top On-trade and big network in these segments
  • You have strong negotiation skills and customer focus
  • You can show evidence of success with key industry influencers/buyers and opinion formers
  • You are strong in self-organization, administration, and priority setting
  • Experience in the Spirits and/or Beverage Industry is a distinct advantage
  • A large percentage of your time will be spent interacting with key customers. 
  • As a result, you can expect to be travelling extensively within your market in order to stay connected to all stakeholders.
