About the role

YOUR OPPORTUNITY

The CPFR position is focused on the management of customer inventory replenishment and demand forecasts at the SKU level using internal and customer-specific system tools. This customer-facing role drives Supply Chain activities, helps meet customer in-stock goals, inventory targets, overall sales goals, and maintains fill rates.                                                     

The CPFR role is critical to developing a high-quality relationship with this supply chain driven customer, and plays a vital internal role supporting GSV growth and driving operational efficiencies working jointly with Sales, Supply and Demand Planning.

Responsibilities

RESPONSIBILITIES - WITH OUR CONSUMER AT THE HEART YOUR KEY FOCUS WILL BE
  • Accountable for building and maintaining a collaborative relationship with the replenishment/inventory management teams at our retail trading partners.  Must effectively influence these individuals, gaining support for replenishment and inventory management policies that maximize product availability at store level, while minimizing inventory in the supply chain. 

  • Responsible for meeting customer in-stock targets at store and warehouse levels with no out-of-stocks at the distribution centers and POS.  This is accomplished by proactive inventory analysis using the customers’ forecasting and inventory management systems, identification of any forecast or in-stock issues, followed by implementation of action steps to resolve them.

  • Ensuring that those customer forecasts (along with other actionable quantitative and qualitative insights) are included in the demand planning and Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) processes, responsible for improving the accuracy of the forecasting demand.

  • Lead Customer Service, Demand Planning, Sales, Marketing, Operations, Transportation, and the customer to develop and improve POS forecasts to ensure excellent Supplier Performance Scorecard metrics (case fill rate, ontime delivery, etc.) 

  • Review Key Performance Indicator trends & develop plans for improvement.

Skills and Experience

SKILLS - THE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE NEEDED TO CREATE YOUR LEGACY

  • At least 3 years of inventory analysis, forecasting, replenishment management and/or planning experience

  • Experience working with Supply Chain at a major retail customer is a major asset 

  • Experience in S&OP and/or Sales Role

  • Well – developed written and verbal communication, ability to communicate to all levels, tailoring the message to the audience

  • Excellent data management and analytical skills are required

  • Advanced Excel and adept with PowerPoint; experience using customer-specific data systems is an asset

  • Strategic: You will optimize the customer's replenishment process to meet in-stock, inventory and sales objectives while maintaining fill rates. You will prioritize workload by using internal and external reports effectively.

  • Leader: You will lead weekly meetings with the customer to identify areas of opportunity and provide recommendations. Internally, you will own communication with key stakeholders to call out exceptions in forecast, flag risks, and provide actionable recommendations.

  • Influencer: You will use your analytics to build a case for influencing internal and external customer behaviour. You will leverage tools or create your own to facilitate the process and identify the ‘so-whats' in the data.

  • Project Manager: You will manage and propose projects that are within the scope of driving Supply Chain or Customer.
