About the role

Your Opportunity

The Category Manager is a critical role in the indirect procurement organization and is involved in several core activities such as:
  • Supports setting overall Global Strategic sourcing strategy for Technology (Telecom, Hardware, Software, IT Consulting / Outsourcing)
  • Support in negotiation of key global Tech contracts; Takes lead in sub-category or second tier negotiations
  • Drive SRM process at a global level with critical and key suppliers
  • Global Category data analysis / ownership / reporting
  • Develop Sub-category suppliers (panel / pool of suppliers)
  • Supports delivery of global targets / objectives
  • Administers and drive compliance to global PSL
  • Support in delivery of ambitious value delivery
  • Point of escalation for regional procurement
  • Partnering with the with Global Tech team to understand their requirements and business objectives to align business strategy into our sourcing activities


With our Consumer at the heart, your key focus will be to:
  • Identify savings opportunities in the category and run complex sourcing initiatives
  • Enforce compliance (to preferred vendors, to policies, to process)
  • Ensure savings are hitting P&L
  • Lead sourcing initiatives and other analysis in procurement optimization projects (RFP building, data analysis, market analysis, spend analysis, global vendor consolidation)
  • Managing the relationship with suppliers to enhance operation efficiency, service quality and business performance
  • Analyzing and managing risk, identifying and implementing sourcing and operational strategies to support Tech strategy
  • Increase operational efficiency (data accuracy, process follow ups)
  • Increase Procurement coverage on tail end spend
  • Follow up with business partners in a timely manner
  • Deploy SRM programs and vendor management with Tech Business partners
  • Approve Category Shopping Carts to ensure right level of data quality
  • Challenge Business on Non Preferred Vendors selection and buying channels
  • Maintain list of Preferred Suppliers in the system and ensure this is communicated and known everywhere in Bacardi
  • Identify repetitive items and look for automation opportunities (catalogs, contracts)
  • Implement and maintain catalogs and contracts
  • Make sure with PTP and users that we have accurate master data in SAP /SRM and define the appropriate buying Channels by subcategory

Skills and Experience

The Skills & Experience needed to create your legacy
  • Procurement Experience in managing Technology as Indirect category for at least 5+ years
  • Good knowledge of Global Tech functions in multi-national companies and fast-paced environment
  • Strong knowledge of SAP SRM
  • Strong written and oral communication skills in English (a Non English language is a plus)
  • Excellent PowerPoint presentation and Excel skills
  • Basic Project Management experience
Relevant education
  • University degree in Business/Finance/Procurement, Supply Chain or related discipline
  • MBA is a plus
