Responsibilities
- Expert on Bacardi categories\brands: Understand our category consumer\shopper, the retail environment and Bacardi category/brand strategies to a level that enables active insights contribution. Provide Actionable Insights that help understand business performance via trends/analysis, identify or lead to brands growth opportunities on strategies identified, engage in adapting CEEBB LT and ST strategy.
- Voice of the consumer/shopper: Use customer, shopper and market data sources to understand and communicate the voice of the consumer/shopper and his/her attitudes, behaviours, motivations, pleasures and pain points, ensuring that this authentic voice is heard in all business initiatives.
- Connecting dots to reveal growth opportunities: Offer foresight rather than just insight through asking the right, or “uncomfortable” questions by mining and synthesizing consumer, shopper, retail and market trends, 3d party databases and primary research learnings. Ability to connect the dots to reveal new insights and identify strategic and tactical market opportunities for business growth is vital.
- Responsible for setting up and leading category/shopper insights agenda in CEEBB Cluster that will feed into its strategic and operational business cycle:
- Diagnosing brand\consumer\customer – related challenges and translate them into specific business questions that can be answered through primary research and analytics.
- Identifying market opportunities with analysis & synthesis of various data sources and proactively gaining internal support to act upon them or integrate into planning and budgeting processes.
- Devising actionable rational to engage more “why” and “what if” internal discussions to better serve consumer/shopper needs or close business performance gaps.
- Identifying market/shopper knowledge gaps, both foundational and customer specific to build annual / LT insights plan for cluster.
- Framing & implementing annual insights plan (set of data and research tools) to serve organization needs and priorities by working with internal stakeholders on funding and engaging.
- Responsible for leading our internal situational assessment & performance process under integrated activity planning (IAP) framework:
- Partnering & supporting Marketing and Sales team with required assessment for key brands/customers, covering macroeconomics, category, competitor, consumer and brand data.
- Supporting commercial teams by teaching new insights to the organization and by helping to “sell” market insights to our customers and partners.
- Analysing and building effective reporting on sales and operational performance across channels and customers, diagnosing opportunities for continuous improvement. Leading initiatives to have more automated\result driven digital solutions for current & future insights agenda.
- Own external relationships with market research or business analytics providers
- Identifying ideal methodology and providing oversight on the data collection process and analytic work plan to ensure all available information is generated to support business needs in full and on time.
- Managing external agencies for the execution of research projects & data provision; searching for continuous upgrade initiatives.
- Leveraging costs\operational purchasing procedures for smooth relations management.
- Supporting key strategic projects with required data and insights & lead category project with customers
- Developing strong relationships with key internal business stakeholders (regional category directors and customer marketing, regional insight team, OFF TRADE & ON TRADE directors, Country Managers).
Skills and Experience
- You have prior experience within a similar role (minimum of 3+ years related market research, insights and analytics experience in FMCG (Drinks and Luxury Categories), retail, customer development). Proficient in fundamental research methodologies and business analytics; able to lead execution or execute research well, resulting in robust, actionable learning. Degree and/or professional Marketing qualifications desirable.
- You are experienced in managing a wide range of qualitative and quantitative research, synthesizing data from multiple sources & extracting the “core” to tell a story.
- You possess strong analytical skills with the ability to leverage data to develop strategy/decision and help senior stakeholders ask themselves tough decisions.
- You have conducted research projects at a regional and market level and have gained experience building and maintaining research partner relationships. Project positive attitude with history of dependability, self-motivation, resourcefulness and results orientation required.
- You have strong, persuasive verbal and written communication skills and experience with delivering executive level presentations. Strong knowledge of business visualization tools such as Power BI and Tableau is a plus.
- You must be able to network and make consumer/shopper insights travel across businesses, teams and leadership.
- Digital Skills and willingness to accelerate digital learning is desirable.
