About the role

Your Opportunity

As a Chain Market Manager, you will guide your market to deliver sales goals and objectives within territory and key customer accounts with excellence. As a Chain Market Manager you will gain exposure to different elements of the sales and marketing organization in order to develop and execute customer strategies and business plans. You will also maintain a regional chain account list of top influential accounts in your market and deliver KPI goals.

Responsibilities

With our Consumer at the heart, your key focus will be to:
  • Direct call responsibility for regional chains in Southern California working collaboratively with the distributor sales team to grow share and key performance metrics.  Key performance metrics include volume share, ad share, display and planner activity, assortment, and shelf/cold box placements.  
  • Coordinate key strategic merchandising initiatives to drive business growth at store level.  This includes coordination with marketing, distributor, e-commerce and retail teams to grow the Bacardi brand’s presence at the point of purchase.
  • Development and strengthen relationships with key chain accounts to develop customer strategies and plans that translate into “win/win” scenarios through impactful presentations and evaluating return on investments.
  • Manage your budget effectively and efficiently by applying thoughtful financial decisions to increase profitability and demonstrating strong financial acumen with an understanding of retail finances, pricing and logistics.
  • Provide market and competitive brand updates to the commercial team to include timely and accurate communication of changing field conditions that may affect volumes as well as staffing changes at distributors and competitors.
  • Engage distributor in the process of aligning program goals and objectives. Work toward achieving increased volumes and assist distributor in attaining company objectives. 
  • Serve as the primary contact for distributor merchandising teams to ensure they are informed of local and national objectives and programs, while providing brand training and support for all sales-related activities. 
  • Meet with distributor merchandising teams monthly to set objectives and a plan to execute.
  • Stay informed of customer and consumer trends; develop programs to capitalize on such trends.
  • Align with key local events and participate where the opportunity fits the Company strategy, including the execution of national initiatives in the local market. 
  • Provide weekly market activity report to supervisor to include list of objectives, accomplishments, competitive activities, special projects and/or any needs.

Skills and Experience

The Skills & Experience needed to create your legacy
  • Bachelor’s degree or related field required
  • Ideally 4 years of sales experiences preferably in the spirits or beverage industry and 2 years of chain experience preferred.
  • Ideally you have an understanding of the off premise chain business and the critical business factors that drive and impact customer’s business decisions. 
  • By living a Founder’s mentality, you are a leader and owner of your market passionate about driving business results.
  • You are influential communicator with strong interpersonal skills. You will have opportunities to display excellent written and verbal communication skills while also being relaxed giving presentations in front of small groups of people including executives, Bacardi Primos, vendors and customers (both internal and external) at all levels of an organization.
  • You are computer proficient working in MS Office Products, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook and can use advanced computer functions, including navigating the Internet.
