About the role


As a Chain Merchandising Manager, you will guide your market to deliver sales goals and objectives within territory and key customer accounts with excellence. As a Chain Merchandising Manager, you will gain exposure to different elements of the sales and marketing organization to develop and execute customer strategies and business plans. You will also maintain a list of top influential accounts in your market and deliver KPI goals.

  • You are an inspiring leader and owner of your market putting the customer and consumer at the heart of everything you do to achieve sales goals and objectives leaving a long-lasting impact.
  • You are an important day-to-day face of Patrón towards the distributors, customers, and agency partners (ambassadors or event staff) in your dedicated territory and will act as the key contact for those customers, driving new business and maintaining sustainable long-lasting relationships.
  • You are passionate, driven, confident and collaborative – combining commercial acumen, creative flair and collaboration


  • Engage distributor in the process of aligning program goals and objectives. Work toward achieving increased volumes and assist distributor in attaining company objectives. 
  • Serve as the primary contact for distributor merchandising teams to ensure they are informed of local and national objectives and programs, while providing support for all sales-related activities. 
  • Meet with distributor merchandising teams monthly to set objectives and a plan to execute.
  • Stay informed of customer and consumer trends; develop programs to capitalize on such trends.
  • Align with key local events and participate where the opportunity fits the Company strategy, including the execution of national initiatives in the local market. 
  • Provide weekly market activity report to supervisor to include list of objectives, accomplishments, competitive activities, special projects and/or any needs.
  • Manage resources appropriately to drive optimal business results.

Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree or related field required.
  • Ideally 2-3 years of sales experiences preferably in the spirits or beverage industry and 1 year of chain experience preferred.
  • Have an understanding of the off-premise chain business and the critical business factors that drive and impact customer’s business decisions. 
  • By living a Founder’s mentality, you are a leader and owner of your market passionate about driving business results.
  • You are influential communicator with strong interpersonal skills. You will have opportunities to display excellent written and verbal communication skills while also being relaxed giving presentations in front of small groups of people including executives, Bacardi primos, vendors and customers at all levels of an organization.
  • You are computer proficient working in MS Office Products, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook and can use advanced computer functions, including navigating the Internet.
  • You are self-motivating and inspiring leader with drive and ambition that is compelling to your team and partners that achieve a collective goal.
  • You are adaptable and flexible to the changing market conditions as it relates to consumer trends and customer processes, customer availability and business goals.
  • You are an extrovert and can effectively utilize your strong interpersonal skills to build and maintain relationships.
