About the role

Your Opportunity

As the Iberia Cluster Commercial Development Manager, you will drive development of high-performance commercial organization, Teams and way of working, in Spain and Portugal. You will be part of the Euroceania commercial development team (Europe/Australia/New Zealand) acting in your markets, as a key catalyst to develop commercial execution excellence, in close coordination with other key stakeholders, across functions.

About You
  • You will be an integral part of the Cluster Commercial team and the European Commercial Development community and work closely with them to identify and prioritize the Commercial capability agenda to support delivery of your Cluster Commercial strategy. Your ability to manage multiple projects at any given time will be key, as will be your comfort in working seamlessly within the matrix, with teams within and outside the commercial function (HR , RGM, Customer Marketing, IT  etc.
  • You will lead the development and delivery of commercial capability building in the market(s) in which you operate. You will embed best in class capabilities by delivering an effective, sustainable approach.
  • You will support the implementation of the new ways of working and sales tools that will equip our sales teams to win in the marketplace.
  • You will engage and enable Line managers in the field to become effective coaches to develop their teams
  • You will deliver measurable value of effectiveness improvement  through execution of specific Bacardi Commercial Way programs in your market e.g. AVQPAP, Pictures of Success, Winning in the On-Premise, On Trade Academy, Route-to-Market (RTM), Amalia, Winning with Retail Customers, Value creation, Key Account Capabilities, and Bacardi Distributor Way).
  • You will support other Countries within your Cluster as needed based on capability building priorities.

This role is varied and while based in the Barcelona office, a large percentage of your time will be interacting with the local market teams. As a result, you can expect to be travelling to stay connected to all stakeholders.

Responsibilities

With our Consumer at the heart, your key focus will be to:

  • Support development of high performance commercial talents and teams - Drive results and excellence in execution.
  • Lead capability deployment within the Cluster and coordinate with Cluster Commercial teams and the European Commercial Development community to deliver best practice training and coaching , physically and virtually.
  • Input to the development of Global and Regional capability assets - Fine tune and develop local assets .
  • Support the development and implementation of the Cluster Commercial Development Strategy.
  • Support the annual assessment of the Cluster Commercial capability and action planning and lead this within your markets.
  • Deliver quality training and coaching to local sales and customer marketing teams and distributor partners where appropriate as per the Cluster priorities.
  • Support and enable Field Sales managers to build capability of their teams.
  • Establish and own local markets tracking to monitor the success and impact of local training interventions.
  • Provide and source resources versus highest priority opportunities within the market.
  • Support the delivery of year on year improvements in Commercial capabilities within the Cluster.
  • Where required, support other markets within Europe to close capability gaps.
  • Operate as the local "go-to" person on these topics.
  • Support search, steal and reapply Commercial best practice across markets within Cluster and with other Clusters through effective sharing.
  • Support Commercial Way recognition program and awards.
  • Recognize accomplishments and behaviors in a timely manner.
  • Ensure all employees have a knowledge of Bacardi history and culture.

Skills and Experience

The Skills & Experience needed to create your legacy

  • Experience of having worked in an organization where commercial capability was key company strength (knowing what great looks like in this area is essential).
  • Experience of leading or being part of a Capability team is core (e.g. Cluster Capability team).
  • Field Sales management experience to a level of leading leaders, front line, in an FMCG company.
  • Key Account Sales management to a level of leading leaders, front line, in an FMCG company.
  • Demonstrable track record of performance in Commercial.
  • Solid On-Trade experience and understanding.
  • Experience in an industry particularly with strong 3rd party distribution channel (e.g. drinks, confectionary, snacks).
  • Proficiency in English and Spanish ( Portuguese is a plus).
  • Good working knowledge in the system required to perform the role (e.g. Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, Word).

The following experiences are preferred:

  • Experience in Spirits and/or Beverage industry (at a globally relevant brand).
  • Experience in customer marketing and sales.
