About the role

As a Commercial Finance Analyst with Bacardi, you will work with internal and external stakeholders, including top management and executives, to help us deliver the highest possible value to the business. You will partner with the Commercial Finance teams and other stakeholders to identify how we can translate financial data into insights that directly impact commercial strategy. You will monitor Trade Spending, Pricing and highlight performance concerns / key performance indicators to improve business performance.

 
You will also be responsible for developing business solutions through modifying the existing business intelligence solutions, using existing platforms using Power Business Intelligence (BI), Excel, and their connections to applications such as SAP, Business Intelligence (BI), sales tools, etc. The Financial Analyst will have to manage multiple tasks, prioritize work, remain calm under pressure, and deliver projects/tasks against timelines. You will proactively and creatively look to find a new way of working and data/insights.

Responsibilities

In this position, the Commercial Finance Analyst will be responsible for :
  •  Trade spending : Managing trade spending and optimizing the workflow and processes related. You will be responsible for the correctness of the trade spending booking during the month-end process in collaboration with Sales.
  • Support: The Financial Analyst plays a supporting role in the business (especially sales) and is also responsible for building and operationalizing processes that ensure timely data loading and maintain accuracy and data quality. You could be involved in structure cost ad hoc analysis and marketing spending. Identify and communicate risks and issues in projects/programs initiated by the assigned departments and communicates this information to the relevant leadership.

  • Audit/Sox: The Commercial Financial Analyst will be the main point of contact for internal and external Audits and SOX controls, providing on-time and precise information and explaining the financial figures.
  • Data infrastructure : The Commercial Financial Analyst will lead in the development of a data environment system in Power BI, which will be the crucial source of information for all the departments integrating local and regional reporting. The Financial Analyst supports and executes change management activities regarding data analysis across business departments and works on the other departments' data knowledge improvement, helping them both by providing information and training them on the different tools.

This role is varied and will require interacting with the Sales teams, Business Analysts, IT, and other stakeholders in Milan and Italy. As a result, you will be based in Milan, but at times we may need you to travel to stay connected to the business/stakeholders.

Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, or any other related field.
  • At least 3 years in a commercial finance position in a fast-paced and dynamic business setting (previous FMCG experience is highly appreciated); a strong and verifiable working experience and ongoing studies is also acceptable for this position.
  • Experience working in Trade spending management, Audit/SOX, and Accounting.
  • Strong knowledge of Excel, Accounting, SAP & Power Business Intelligence (BI) is a plus.
  • Independent, a problem-solver with a learning mindset.
  • Able to transform large sets of data into meaningful insights and recommendations to improve the business.
  • Proficiency in Italian and English (oral and written communication).
