About the role

WHAT DOES A COMMERCIAL FINANCE & STRATEGY MANAGER DO?

The Commercial Finance & Strategy Manager will focus on fully understanding business drivers underlying financial results, business partnering Commercial & Marketing Teams while also relentlessly seeking to uncover value-creating business insights.

ABOUT YOU

The incumbent will play a critical role in partnering with and advising these senior leaders in strategic, operational, and financial decision-making process. Building business scenarios, driving a ROI culture, supporting RTM/Value Chain Setup, driving capability of fully business partners as well as strong focus on the critical performance measures, are the key responsibilities on this role. Also, ensure a laser focus on resource allocation controls, such as Rebates & Discounts and Measurement & Evaluation practices. 

Responsibilities

WITH OUR CONSUMER AT THE HEART, YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES WILL BE TO:

* Business Partner of Commercial, Marketing and Customer Marketing organizations. The role is not only to track budget, is mainly to support the teams with the right numbers and analysis to take the right decision in terms of promotions, discounts and innovations.
* Lead, Manage and Control – with an strong laser focus on it – the whole Rebates & Discounts process for the entire company, constantly focusing on improvements and automations, seeking on always optimizing current process.
* Drive a strategic mindset on reviewing, supporting, and developing Route To Markets, based on different Value Chains approaches, together with Commercial Teams, to deliver business proposals which will results on improvements at Profitability, Distribution and Market Share Levels.
* Lead the team to be a reference for the region and transform it, into a lean, fast and digital organization, that will be able to adapt to the new requirements for the finance area but go even further and transform the team into a key partner of the leadership team.
* Drive a strong understanding of Risks & Opportunities that lead to action across multifunctional team in the quest to drive business performance.
* Run finance transformation projects in respect to people, processes, and systems.
* Support the organization in the monthly planning process, also annual plan, ensuring the right balance between challenging but right targets.



Skills and Experience

THE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE NEEDED TO CREATE YOUR LEGACY:


* Business Acumen: understanding of the consumer industry and experience of a commercial finance leadership role and proven record of successful delivery of results in matrix organization.
* Stewardship: knowledge, understanding, experience and spreading.
* People oriented: leverage the team, as well the as business partners.
* Analytics: from numbers to insights.
* Team work: 1+1 > 2
* Business Partner: Fully understanding of the concept. Living it.
* Challenge the status quo: look and share opportunities.
* Commitment, working under pressure, ambiguity, and tolerance.
* Decision-making balance between when to ask for support and when to move forward.


PERSONAL QUALITIES

* Several years of experience in Finance Roles, especially: FP&A, Commercial Finance, Marketing Finance, Business Partner, Business Controller.
* Experience leading a team. Ideally, a Sales Finance Team Business Partner or participated on the implementation of new Discounts Model as well RTM Development/Setup.
* Ability to communicate effectively to senior leadership in order to influence the decision-making process.
* Systems: Office, SAP or similar, Power BI, Reporting Systems.
* Language: Spanish and English.
