About the role

What does a Continuous Improvement & Training Development Specialist do?

To provide project management support to the Operations Management team. Collaborate with key stakeholders to ensure the Bacardi Operating System (BOS) and CI initiatives are effectively implemented, coordinated and sustained.

Be the Operational Excellence/ Organizational Development and BOS (Lean Principles) Specialist for the site.

Design, coordinate and/or execute continuous improvement initiatives and change projects at the plant based on lean principles and BOS standards, providing leadership, project management, direction,  training, communication and coaching skills to meet business needs, minimizing losses and ensuring alignment with local and global strategies.

Responsibilities

With our Consumer at the heart, your key focus will be to:
  • This position will report to the Continuous Improvement Manager and will work and collaborate with Continuous Improvement Team, site key stakeholders to identify, design, coordinate and/or execute continuous improvement initiatives and change projects at the plant based on lean principles and BOS standards, providing leadership, project management, direction, training, communication, and coaching skills to meet business needs, minimizing losses and ensuring alignment with local and global strategies.
  • Provide direct Project Management ownership to Systems Data and Reporting Integration (e-BOS).
  • Provide direct Project Management ownership to the Site Training Plan, Budget & Execution.
  • Primo- Leadership Development Training Specialist.
  • Support and control the monitoring of the established KPI's, coach the KPIs owners on how to analyse deviations and identification of countermeasures to prevent recurrence (Problem Solving tools, gap analysis process). 
  • Manage a variety of initiatives implementation including, but not limited to Bacardi Operating Systems Integration (TPS), Strategy Deployment Process & Change Management, SMED, Kaizen & Continuous Improvement Program , Problem Solving Tools, VSM, 5S, CIL, BDE, Centerline, Change Over, MP&S, Maintenance Excellence, Flow Optimization and Efficiency.

  • High-Speed Production, Quality Management System (ISO) and/or Maintenance Excellence (TPM) Experience 
  • Continuous Improvement (Bacardi Operating System / Toyota Production System) Implementation Experience
  • Strong Lean mind, Problem Solving and Innovation Expertise 
  • Data Systems and Data Analysis Expertise
  • Influencing & Training others
Work Experience Requirements: 
  • You will likely have worked on the “shop floor” and have hands on experience of production lines.  In previous roles you will have had to influence and direct others who did not directly report to you and will have done this by displaying strong interpersonal, influencing and engagement skills.  
  • Strong drive for results with positive, transparent, and ethical leadership style.
  • Strong relationship builder in complex organizational contexts.
  • Technical skills will help to support the candidate’s success. 
Personal Qualities
  • University Degree in Engineering or Science related topic
  • 2-4 Years of Lean & Continuous Improvement Implementation Experience
  • 2-4 Years of Project Management and/or Quality Management System Experience
  • 5+ Years of Manufacturing Operations Knowledge including Lean Manufacturing and Process Excellence
  • English – Proficiency Level; Competent written and oral communications to manage the operations
