About the role

Your Opportunity

As the Country Manager, you will be accountable for delivering value and financial impact for our company. You will be creating the legacy of Bacardi-Martini and driving key decisions that will significantly affect the market level Commercial operations of Bacardi-Martini. Your ability to manage multiple projects at any given time will be key, as will be your comfort in working seamlessly within the matrix, in particular with the Regional Category teams and Country Consumer and Customer Marketing teams and influencing and coaching a diverse team.

About You 

You are a very important face of Bacardi-Martini in your markets, responsible for developing a long-term strategy, building a close and effective cooperation with the Distributors, ensuring best in class Route To Market and delivery of commercial and financial KPIs to strengthen the position of  Bacardi Martini in those markets. 
You will ensure the Distributors’ Salesforce have a broad knowledge of our products and the required capabilities to ensure efficient distribution across On and Off Trade channels.


With our Consumer at the heart, your key focus will be to:

Deliver results & excellence in execution:
  • Deliver key financial targets (NSV, Gross Margin, Overheads, Profitability, ROI, Value Share) versus budget
  • Develop a long term strategy for the area of your responsibility and get it aligned with the key internal stakeholders as well as the partners (distributors) in your respective markets.
  • Build and maintain effective Customer relationships with the Distributors. 
  • Set, Get and Keep price increase in line with IAP guidelines.
  • Set, implement, and sustain an optimal Route-to-Market in your Country and Cost to Serve
  • Provide Country input to Region S&OP, IAP and other processes
Develop talent and capability:
  • Take ownership of Commercial capability development in the Country and drive improvements in results as measured by the Commercial Capability Scorecard
  • Ensure that Distributors’ Commercial teams have the resources and assets needed to deliver desired results.
  • Ensure own and indirect reports SMART development plans in Primo Profile and actively work to close competence gaps, gain new skills
Create a winning team:
  • Drive execution excellence through strong, engaged and capable Distributors’ Commercial teams 
  • Build a shared sense of purpose among the Commercial Teams of Distributors.
  • Align Distributors behind the targets and create a passion for winning in their organization in line with Bacardi Culture

Skills and Experience

The Skills & Experience needed to create your legacy
  • Higher education in Economics / Management / Finance or another relevant field 
  • Excellent presentation and negotiation skills
  • Excellent analytical skills and ability to handle large amounts of complex data
  • Resilience to stress in a dynamically changing market and ambiguous working environment
  • Proficient in the use of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Proficient in English language skills; working knowledge of local market language would be an advantage 
  • Experience in Sales/Marketing roles including Sales or Customer Director in a leading international FMCG company 
  • Minimum 2 years experience in your current role with a successful track record  
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills as well as ability to be hands-on when needed
  • Professional presentation, positive energy, “ can do “ attitude and ability to work well with senior leadership 
  • Successful track record in Commercial roles is a must 
  • Experience in the Spirits or Beverages Industry is a distinct advantage 
  • Fluency in English is a must; knowledge of Russian or a Baltics language is an advantage
