About the role

The Creative Development Manager for Dewar's is responsible for supporting the development of the marketing communication strategy brand globally and ensuring that all our global marketing communications are connected to our brand and business objectives with the consumer at the heart of all of our work. 

Responsibilities

  • Managing and briefing along with the brand team, world class advertising agencies
  • Working with the Global Brand Director and VP on the global communications strategies
  • Developing global communications assets for the brand to be flawlessly executed across all channels
  • Lead the development of the connections strategy approach
  • Highly creative, an expert in the category and know how to get to great work, spotting creative & innovation opportunities 
  • Be the lead with the agencies in respect of all aspects of production and creative feedback 
  • To lead the day to day, being responsible for all timelines, requirements and deliveries 
  • Build a deep understanding of the priority markets – developing relevant communications assets and identifying efficiencies where possible 
  • Develop global playbooks and tool kits, ensuring clear guidelines on strategy and creative deployment 
  • Ensure all assets are delivered on time, on budget and to a consistently high standard
  • Communicate with the regions/countries and relevant agency partners to ensure they are aware of the current and forthcoming assets. 
  • Accountable for maximizing available production budgets
  • To motivate and inspire agency partners 
  • Ensure appropriate KPI’s and measurement structure is in place, to be able to take data and apply learnings to future creative development
  • Accurate and timely budget management 
  • Sharp knowledge on competitor activity and best in class work in and out of the category, sharing with the team on a timely basis 
  • Knows media channel and content restrictions by market, and is aware of what best practice looks like in dark markets.
  • Tracks asset buyouts ensuring all assets that are in use are covered
  • Establishes asset management tools, setting up ways of working with  our asset management agency
  • Searches for and share best practices between markets and locations


Skills and Experience

To be successful in this role you will have/be: 
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, able to inspire internal and agency teams
  • Ability to manage key stakeholders across the Bacardi business
  • An independent operator, with a proven track record of production and execution of world class integrated communications
  • Expert craft skills in integrated production across channels with a strong focus on digital and social
  • Experience of developing marketing communications campaigns that deliver commercial growth and able to prove the effectiveness of all marketing communication assets
  • Capable of working across geographies - global experience and US market experience is a preference
  • Able to act and think in an agile, flexible way, broad shoulders, obsessed about detail and execution
  • Highly networked in the production community
  • Inspiring, cultural ambassador for the brands.
