About the role

In this role you will be accountable for creating value through driving sales and developing strong relationship with key customers in your dedicated territory. You will be driving the performance and growth of Bacardi’s brands within your territory through negotiating the commercial terms and building long lasting relationships with customers. Your strong communication, presentation, networking and interpersonal skills will be key to your success in this role.
  • You will be responsible to deliver key sales and Commercial targets for your dedicated territory as determined by the Country financial plan.
  • You are an important day-to-day face of Bacardi towards the customers in your dedicated territory and will act as the key contact for customers in that territory, driving new business and maintaining sustainable relationships.
  • You will use Bacardi Commercial Way assets (e.g. Picture of Success) and execute with excellence to activate our brands to influence consumers at the point of purchase
  • You will be accountable for optimizing the return on Investment across your territory
  • You will need to be connected to Key customers and Influencers across the territory to drive Advocacy to win hearts and minds as these customers often influence many other outlets.
This role is varied and a large percentage of your time will be spent interacting with the local customers. As a result, you can expect to be travelling extensively within your territory in order to stay connected to all customers. As it includes late night bottle to table venues, there is an element of working  2 – 3 evenings per week with Late night venues and then daytime working for Food led venues so flexibility and organization of time are essential.

Key accountabilities and responsibilities

  • Support Customer management including administrative coordination of customer related activities both internally and externally; accurately enter all conditions of customers in the system.
  • Proactive support to the assigned Field Sales Manager in commercial and administrative activities for the assigned customers; including the input of Key Value Drivers to accurately measure performance.
  • Identify and propose tactical goals that will step change performance and share.
  • Act as a contact person for the customer; independently resolving day to day operational questions and issues.
  • Work closely with other functions such as Field Sales Execution, Sales Planning, Sales, Finance & Marketing to ensure the best possible delivery against agreed Bacardi Sales KPIs and targets.
  • Execute Bacardi Sales Way (Picture of Success) in outlets according to AVQPAP standards on existing and new products.
  • Ensure excellent execution of key Marketing activities in outlets e.g. Promotions, events etc.
  • Analyse and process promotional activities and budgets, incorporating ROI analysis.
  • Provide input for the development of customer plans; brand plans in prioritizing investments and evaluating programs.
  • Monitor and administer the promotional budgets, detect deviations for the assigned customers / channels.
  • Accountable for brand execution within Specialist customer account base within London.

Measures of success

The measure of success in this role with be based upon achieving:
  • Quarterly KPIs - Coverage, Call Rate, Picture Of Success, New Business and Renewals, Distribution and Point of Sale placement.
  • Accurate and clear forecasting of new business and renewals
  • Analyse customer data and conducting quarterly customer business reviews and actions
  • Precise database/ workload management of all outlets and to ensure all data is 100% correct
  • Active Personal Development Plan

Critical experiences for success

To be successful within the role you will have/ be:
  • Experience of working within the On Trade ideally within the drinks industry.
  • A minimum of 2-3 years Sales commercial experience, including multichannel experience.
  • Experience of leading cross functional project.
  • Evidence of developing highly favourable trading terms for BBFB and significant account ‘wins’ within customer location.
  • Evidence of success with key industry influencers/buyers and opinion formers within London.
  • Demonstrate close RTM partnerships.
Functional Excellence:
  • Commercial acumen – Demonstrate ability to use data to create commercial arguments.
  • Entrepreneurship with an eye for new business opportunities.
  • Well-developed written and verbal communication skills.
  • A good understanding of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
  • An ability to forecast accurately with an attention to detail.
  • Building outstanding relationships.
