This exciting new role in the Brand Homes team is all about maximising our profitable growth. In addition to admissions, bar, retail and catering we have an exciting new web shop and growing events business. We want to exploit our opportunities to develop.

In addition to income generation, this role is focused on getting best value from our expenditure, maintaining our 5 star quality at all times to exceed our guests expectations through the development of exciting new products that disrupt the market and reflect the world class brands we represent.

We are seeking an individual with strong results driven focus, treating the business like a founder to understand what is happening and reacting accordingly.

You will be fearless in development with an appreciation that value means quality, not cheap and an appreciation of what our customers want. As a senior member of the team we are looking for someone who can lead from the front, supporting others to reach the standards required.

Responsibilities

Responsible for providing people and departmental leadership across the commercial functions of our business. Focused on the growth and offering across our gift shop, bar and café.
  • Provide leadership and line management to your team with the aim of delivering the best distillery visitor experience in Scotland
  • Manage resource and scheduling of your team within agreed budgets
  • Lead the recruitment, induction and ongoing training of team members with focus on attracting the right talent into Bacardi
  • Reservations support for multiple elements of the business, understanding the various booking channels and visitor profiles in this complex business
  • Duty Management of the business on a rotational basis, including cash handling, safety and customer care. This includes on call responsibilities
  • Understand, lead and comply with safety, quality and sustainability legislation, supporting audits and looking for continuous improvements
  • Lead by example by actively delivering all experiences within the business from hosting guided tours to serving cocktails behind the bar
  • Lead the growth of our events business to ensure it reflects the quality of our existing operations and grows to complement what has made us successful
  • Deputise for the Visitor Centre Operations Manager during annual leave, sickness or business travel

Skills and Experience


SKILLS
  • Commercial by nature and detailed in execution, inspiring those around you to approach existing and new initiatives with a commercial mindset, putting the bottom line at the heart of every decision you make
  • Ability to own EPOS systems and relationship management with focus on functionality development to support the business
  • Demonstrable ability to inspire and lead a team to deliver world class visitor experiences
  • Ability to multitask and prioritise very different work streams
  • Strong understanding of driving a safety culture, delivering quality experiences through safe management of the business
  • Sustainability focus, or aspirations to develop this skill aligning with our focused ambition for sustainability
  • Experience dealing with food hygiene and licensing legislation, recognising that these form part of our desire to deliver excellence in every aspect of our operation
  • A collaborative approach and ability to work closely with multiple stakeholders across different parts of an exciting but complicated business
