This role allows you to help shape the route to data modelling strategy for our US region in various functions and areas and bring predictive modelling to life through partnership with key stakeholders throughout the organization. This position will use data to empower and accelerate the largest Bacardi region achieve their sales goals, with the flexibility to work from home. Finally, this role is considered an important resource for both the Bacardi Commercial Leadership Team and the overall hub executive team.

About You

As a Data Scientist, you will manage the current predictive models and lead the modelling optimization work using data available to provide critical analysis to support business strategies. You will work with key stakeholders from cross-functions to understand the need and translate into modelling and deliver the results in business terms. You will also play a leading role to build business capabilities in Advanced Analytics space.

Responsibilities

With our Consumer at the heart, your key focus will be to:
  • Manage and optimize existing prescriptive and predictive models, coding of data manipulation, hypothesis testing, testing models’ accuracy, model optimization, and visualization.
  • Lead deliverables for advanced analytics and standardization, such as create and maintain effective Dashboards or Models to deliver results to multiple levels of users including senior leadership
  • Navigate a variety of data sources, such as enterprise data, distributor data, consumer pull data, and/or other external data sources to uncover drivers, impacts, and key influences
  • Develop new predictive and optimization models for key applications
  • Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and deliver projects 
  • Support business adoption of new models and process changes
  • Build business capabilities in Advanced Analytics space
  • Proactively identify opportunities to improve existing ways of working

Skills and Experience

The Skills & Experience needed to create your legacy
  • Bachelor’s degree from Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Economics, or related fields
  • 3+ years of experience using data scripting languages (e.g. SQL, Python, R etc.) or highly proficient with statistical/mathematical software (e.g. R, SAS, or Matlab) to analyze large scale and complex data
  • 3+ years of applying statistical models, machine learning techniques and advanced quantitative methods to solve complex business problems. 
  • Demonstrated ability to independently prepare sophisticated statistical analysis with accuracy and calibration within an established time frame.
  • Comfortable mining unstructured data, with the ability to transform data into a usable state using appropriate tools and techniques.
  • Ability to translate complex data sets into business insights
  • Experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau, including proven record of driving adoption.
  • Experience with Nielsen data is a plus.
  • Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases and tools like Azure Data Lake, DataBricks, Azure ML and Spark is a plus
