About the role


The Demand Planner Benelux is responsible for collecting the Demand Plan and executing inventory plans from the market, that will enable the business to meet sales and service objectives. The Demand Planner interacts and communicates with other members of the supply chain, Customer marketing, sales and finance. It is paramount to achieve these sales and service objectives. As a demand planner you demonstrate a higher level of understanding the elements of the supply chain process and the information flow through the demand and supply planning process.

Responsibilities

WITH OUR CONSUMER AT THE HEART YOUR KEY FOCUS WILL BE
  • Managing key internal and external stakeholders is a primary driver and challenge of the role along with giving accurate and timely plans to the team. Challenging internal stakeholders will be an important part of the job to achieve service and sales objectives.
  • Improve sales forecast accuracy at market level
  • Focus on reducing days inventory and logistics costs by analysing safety stocks
  • Monitor vendor performance on monthly basis and manage improvements where necessary
  • Develop best in class integration within departments, i.e. IBP
  • Ensure and maintain a robust alert system
  • Demonstrate an interest in personal learning and development; seek feedback from multiple sources on how to improve and develop; modify behaviour based on feedback or self-analysis of past errors.

Skills and Experience

THE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE NEEDED TO CREATE YOUR LEGACY
  • You will have at least 4 years’ experience in Supply Chain demand/supply planning, preferably across the Benelux countries. 
  • You will have knowledge of SAP functions with focus on demand planning technology in SAP APO. This experience should have been gained in an FMCG environment, but you may well have additional experience in high tech or pharma industries as well.
  • Demonstrated use of analytical and statistical models to analyse demand and prepare forecasts in APO.
  • Detail oriented
  • Challenging and strict to deadlines
  • Demonstrated experience in managing co-packing activities, preferable in FMCG industry
  • Ability to work cross-functionally
  • Collaborative skills in resolving long and short positions in inventory.
  • Ability to challenge internal stakeholders, mainly Sales and Customer Marketing, to provide accurate required data on time
  • Demonstrated management of suppliers
  • Ability to challenge suppliers
  • Ability to optimize subcontracting process in moist efficient way without hurting the relationship.
