About the role

Your Opportunity

A major part of the role is your responsibility for developing a strong demand plan that will enable the business to meet sales and service objectives. You create, understand, and challenge the forecast in close interaction and communication with sales, marketing, finance, supply planning as well as regional functions. As a ‘born networker’ you will find yourself as a main point of contact for those several stakeholders, showing presence and representing Supply Chain values.

You take the accountability for our strong brands – from introducing exciting new products (phase in/phase out), stabilising the supply/demand flow & ensuring that our product is always available for our shoppers to purchase & engage in. That includes the responsibility to implement and drive optimal stock levels according to company objectives and with the clear aim of ‘zero out of stock’ availability and minimized write off cost.

About You

To be successful in this role you need to bring an extended talent for analytics, communication, coordination and organisation. Your capability for high level technical expertise /systems as Excel, SAP, APO plus a high level of understanding the elements of the supply chain process and the information flow through the demand and supply planning process, which includes the SC KPI’s, rounding up your profile.

Responsibilities

With our Consumer at the heart, your key focus will be to:
  • Continually analyze current business demand trend and predict future trends for short, mid and longterm horizons for which forecasting techniques, method and approach are permanently improved.
  • Manage the Demand Planning Processes to ensure that plans are established, monitored, reviewed and actioned in order to ensure efficient and timely availability & distribution of products in consideration of stock level targets, slow/ no-mover reduction and write off avoidance.
  • As a Demand Planner you will have full accountability of the demand plan with overall aim to ensure the highest service to our customers while continuously optimizing inventories
  • Improve sales forecast accuracy at market level and maintain a robust alert system.
  • Maintain processes, procedures and systems correctly. Ensure data accuracy, support deadlines and makes decisions within the boundary of the role.
  • Learn and share from Demand Planner communities within the region (West Europe) and beyond. Work on definition of standardized processes and reporting’s.
  • Run regular checks on Master Data settings in terms of forecasting parameters like safety stock and coordinate adjustments with the plants
  • Have knowledge of material master data belongings and transfer the knowledge to partners and colleagues in case of questions and ensure independent collection of information required for material master data creation
  • Demonstrate an interest in personal learning and development; seek feedback from multiple sources on how to improve and develop; modify behavior based on feedback or self-analysis of past errors.

Skills and Experience

The Skills & Experience needed to create your legacy
  • You will have at least 2-5 years’ experience in Supply Chain demand/supply planning, preferably in an FMCG environment
  • You will have knowledge of SAP functions with focus on DP technology in APO, IBP would be a plus
  • Demonstrated use of analytical and statistical models to analyze demand and prepare forecasts
  • Language Skills: Fluent German and English
  • Detail oriented, challenging and strict to deadlines
  • Ability to work cross-functionally & fearless to challenge the status quo and drive proposals for continuous improvement in ways of working, processes and tools
  • Collaborative skills in resolving long and short positions in inventory
  • Ability to challenge internal stakeholders, mainly Sales and Customer Marketing, to provide accurate required data on time
