About the role
Responsibilities
- Demand forecasting: Utilize a collaborative and consensus approach to Forecasting by working cross functional to gain alignment to the Sales Operational Plan monthly while maintaining and reporting within the S&OP tools and clearly disclose risks and opportunities to the business through the demand and supply planning process. Improve sales forecast accuracy.
- Continually analyse current business demand trend, assemble all data pertinent to creating the sales forecast (historical sales, market trends, seasonality, promotions and predict future trends for short, mid and long- term horizons for which forecasting techniques, method and approach are permanently improved.
- Coordinate promotional activities and re-packs with all internal key stakeholders: Marketing/ CPA/ Sales/ Customer Service & Supply Chain manager as well as the external partner/ 3PL. You are the person where all the threads are gathered.
- Manage the safety Stock targets and forecasting parameters.
- Reduce slow/ no-mover stocks and minimize write-off.
- Monitor SKU levels and define SKU rationalization initiatives.
- Manage the full POS material process from customer and internal demand to replenishment/order management and timely production of VAP (Value added pack) or delivery at customer.
- Participate in New Product Development processes from Supply Chain side with the aim of reducing complexity, optimize route to markets and push for supply reliability and flexibility.
- Learn and share from Demand Planner communities within the region (West Europe) and beyond.
Skills and Experience
- Familiarity and knowledge of demand planning technology and decision support tools, ability to use analytical and statistical models to analyse demand and prepare forecasts, preferably in APO/ IBP
- Min. 2 years+ of experience in a diligent Supply Chain role, preferably in FMCG multinational environment.
- Language Skills: Fluent French and English
- Business Acumen: Analyses issues from a business and cross-functional perspective. Understands the importance of accurate and up to date numbers to the business. Ability to challenge internal stakeholders (mainly Sales and Customer Marketing)
- Problem solving. Can see hidden problems. Looks beyond the obvious and doesn’t stop at the first answer.
- Priority setting: Spends his/ her time and the time of others on what is important. Quickly zeros in on the critical few and puts the trivial many aside. Eliminate roadblocks.
- Customer focus: customer driven mindset and the capability to combine that with the S&OP process
