About the role

Your Opportunity

Get ready to be the “Digital Acceleration Leader” for the Iberia cluster (Spain, Portugal and Andorra). You will be accountable to ensure that the team have the capabilities, connectivity, processes & execution standards to accelerate our performance in the local Digital ecosystem through leadership of the local ‘Digital Front Line Council’ (DFLC). A key success factor will be your ability to influence and leverage networks like local sales and marketing, Region and /Global teams.

You will live and breathe execution by partnering with Marketing and Sales to test and learn on seamless consumer journeys and  unlock 121 marketing opportunities.  As the Digital champion, your role is to break barriers so we can deliver compelling and relevant digital consumer and customer experiences.    

You will be a key partner to the Local Leadership team as well as the Region’s digital acceleration community. This role is a key change agent, essential to execute our Global Best10 strategy and beyond, and with the opportunity to leave a tangible business legacy.

With our Consumer at the heart, your key focus will be to:
  • Lead the Digital acceleration mission at Bacardi for the Iberia cluster to ensure we most effectively disrupt consumer journeys in an increasingly omnichannel world, and win with customer.
  • Ensure all digital stakeholders within the market are well connected, coordinated and executing under the same strategy (Consumer, Trade Marketing, Digital Commerce PP and, On and Off trade).
  • Make regular assessments of what we are doing in Digital Marketing to identify gaps and low hanging fruit (what & how we should do & what investment choices we make)
  • Chair the IBERIA Digital Front Line Council (DFLC), a cross-function working group, to ensure we are progressing against our five Digital Jobs-To-Be-Done (JTBDs) with standardised monthly reporting to local Leadership team / EUROCEANIA Region
  • JTBD#1 Digital Capabilities & Culture
    • Run annual Digital capabilities plan in partnership with Region/Global teams leveraging current platforms like eConsultancy & Bacardi Way of Growth with KPI of #employees upskilled
    • Organize monthly Digital inspiration sessions for key functions with external speakers/agencies
    • Ensure key Bacardi team members of the Iberia cluster have the right coaching / support to execute in locally executed Digital marketing skill areas including Reverse Mentoring with Local Leadership team 
    • Be the reference for new tech developments via desk research, external connections + learning & development courses and industry talks
    • Represent Bacardi for the Iberia cluster at Digital industry events to both showcase and learn on Digital
    • Share and spin successful Digital marketing initiatives to other markets via the EUROCEANIA DFLC network
  • JTBD#2 Digital Commerce (DC) Excellence 
    • Lead DC Reporting with Measurement & Evaluation (M&E) are integrated to the monthly Digital Front Line Council (DFLC)
    • Reporting to enable a one full view of Digital Commerce for the Leadership Team and to Region/Global 
    • Ensure availability and excellence on digital content across channels by understanding its purpose, audience, format, and lead A/B testing and local production when needed. (dCommerce and Sales)
    • Leverage and embed the brand visual identity platform called Bacardi Content Hub
    • Ensure syndication of all major customers to Bacardi Content Hub in partnerships with Key Account Managers
    • Define strategy/tools to ensure optimal redirection from Social & Display into Commerce platforms 
  • JTBD#3 Integrated & Digital Marketing Excellence
    • Partner with local marketing team on Connections Planning at briefing stage & ongoing campaign management and agency coordination to maximise execution. Consult and validate media and digital plans before launch
    • Ensure availability and excellence on digital content across channels, by understanding its purpose, audience, format, whilst leading A/B testing and local production when needed. (Social & Paid Media).
    • Establish seamless linkage to Search & Performance Marketing and coordinate with global and local teams.
    • Drive connectivity of Media plans into through-the-line activities
    • Support deployment of best in class Social & Digital Influencer Marketing through fixing basics including consumer listening with Talkwalker and /or partnering on roll out or supporting Global initiatives like Social Studios.
    • Set a Digital Marketing learning agenda and engage local brand teams to execute 6 x test and learn activities in this fiscal year
  • JTBD#4 Leveraging Digital Tools & Data 
    • Partner with Global & Local marketing/sales teams to execute ambitious 1PD (first party data) collection and retarget plans across the portfolio  
    • Identify and enable new opportunities to use Digital technology to drive efficiency/effectiveness eg On Trade B2B CRM, better leverage of existing tools (including the Bacardi Content Hub) as well as test & learn with On Trade customer data
  • JTBD#5 On Trade & Digital
    • Provide our Field Sales Managers with digital toolkits and establish collaboration with key customers
    • Give guidance on how we should be partnering on digital media, how Business Managers should negotiate and measure activities
    • Smooth linkage with marketing team: make sure plans are shared and cohesion exists within teams and key stakeholders and are in constant communication of opportunities, challenges and needs.

Skills and Experience

The Skills & Experience needed to create your legacy
  • Proven growth mindset with strong change management and leadership skills
  • Deep knowledge and experience working across the digital ecosystem:
    • digital media (from streaming services to paid search and paid social and everything in between;
    • web-site performance;
    • digital commerce + omnichannel
    • first party data (acquisition, management and activation)
    • organic social & search
  • Combined 6+ years in Digital Marketing and Ecommerce with a track record of creating exceptional value based on consumer and customer insights
  • Sales experience in digital commerce useful but not essential
  • Effective analytical skills and ability to turn data into insights / actions / business value
  • Fluency in English and Spanish is mandatory
