About the role

The Digital Commerce Analyst takes ownership for key workstreams within the Digital Commerce Finance team.

Reporting into the Digital Commerce Finance Manager, the Analyst is responsible for providing first class business partnering to the Commercial and Marketing teams, providing analysis and insight on business results, trends, opportunities and risks, supporting delivery of an RGM framework, as well as evaluating A&P spend and newly innovated products to ensure delivery of financial and brand building commitments.

The Analyst takes the lead on many financial planning, reporting and performance management tasks. The Analyst is required to frequently liaise with Corporate and to help drive collaboration and consistency across the domestic markets that we are partnering with to scale up the Digital Commerce business.

Key accountabilities and responsibilities

Performance measurement & reporting
Take responsibility for the global in-month, month-end, quarter-end and year-end reporting process:
  • Prepare and distribute monthly management P&L reports, including performance in total, by market, by brandline and by customer
  • Prepare monthly analytics and commentaries for Digital Commerce leadership and Bacardi Corporate, highlighting explanations for variances from agreed plans and for unusual entries
  • Manage key cost lines within the Digital Commerce P&L vs plan
  • Identify opportunities to improve reporting – efficiency of the process and the value-added by the reports
  • Work with the Business Intelligence Team to continuously drive improvements in the quality and availability of systems data
  • Commercial and Marketing decision support
  • Support with budgeting, forecasting and planning, with the following specific responsibilities: 
  • Produce analysis to identify drivers of brand performance and challenge the Digital Commerce Marketing and Commercial teams to ensure we deliver on our brand commitments
  • Work with the Digital Commerce Marketing and Global Insights functions to drive continuous improvements in resource allocation
  • Creating and maintaining monthly customer depletion reports and help identify trends, risk and opportunity.
  • Complete M&E reviews on key activities & spend types to drive more efficient and effective allocation of spend
  • Support the Digital Commerce Marketing and Commercial Teams in development of P&Ls and forecasts for new innovations, and track innovations post-launch
Sales decision support / Revenue Growth Management
  • Act as a business partner to the Digital Commerce Commercial Organisation, challenging and influencing key commercial decisions:
  • Drive global analysis to identify risks and opportunities to the Digital Commerce P&L, making connections between data sources to productively challenge the Commercial Organisation
  • Produce insightful reviews of performance for discussion with Digital Commerce Global leaders
  • Track and evaluate Digital Commerce performance against our global KPIs
  • Partner with the global Revenue Growth Management function to drive maximum value from our customers by taking price, increasing promotional effectiveness and implementing a trading terms structure across Digital Commerce. 
  • Work with the Digital Commerce Marketing and Commercial teams to build RGM capabilities and sustained ways of working.
  • Sales Execution
  • Lead the embedding of sale execution tool EDGE, with the ability to translate data into key actionable insights to ensure brands execute with excellence:
  • Data integrity is a fundamental in helping the wider Digital Commerce team identifying risk and opportunity of our brands online therefore you will need to ensure the maintenance, accuracy and continues improvement of the eco system by working directly with external partner EDGE and KAM’s.
  • Support KAM’s by helping them to understand what the current digital experience is for our consumers and help improve how our brands appear online.
  • Identify key drivers of sales from delivering on an enhanced shopping experience.
  • Communicate learnings across markets / retailers to help build Bacardi Ltd. Digital Commerce capabilities.

  • Support on key strategic initiatives as required
  • Support in production of outputs for Digital Commerce Leadership to present at Global Leadership Team and Board of Directors’ meetings
  • Expand Digital Commerce relationships with the wider Bacardi business and Finance function, actively looking for opportunities for further growth of our brands, better collaboration and sharing of best practice

Critical experiences for success

Work Experience Requirements:
  • 2+ years of relevant experience in commercial/ financial/ strategic analysis
  • Experience in the digital commerce sector and/or consumer goods sector preferable
  • Educated to degree level from a leading University, with strong results (2:1 or above)
  • Accountancy background desirable
  • Exceptional numerical and analytical skills (e.g. building financial models in Microsoft Excel, independently owning analysis)
  • Ability to communicate effectively both in verbal and written communications (e.g. producing outputs in Microsoft Powerpoint, participating in key decision making forums)
  • Excellent team working skills (e.g. building relationships across a global organization)
  • High level of commercial acumen
  • Advanced level of attention to detail
  • Motivated to develop skill set and build a career within the business 
  • Experience working with SAP advantageous
  • Ability to commit to the Bacardi values
  • Language Skills: Fluent English
