Your Opportunity

This high-profile role offers an exciting career opportunity within the rapidly accelerating Bacardi digital commerce business for Japan. This role will be instrumental in driving Bacardi’s digital commerce strategy in the short and long term. You will have full responsibility across the entire portfolio for key digital commerce platforms in the market, with a specific focus on Amazon.
Given the nature of digital commerce, the role will require dynamic thinking and quick action to maximize and monitor both long- and short-term opportunities (Volume, NSV, GP and Trade/Media Investment, as well as Market Share and Sales Growth) and look for new opportunities for growth through new RTM partnerships. 

About You

You will work across different functions of the organization to identify and develop digital commerce opportunities, including the Brand teams, Customer Marketing, Sales, Finance and Supply Chain. 

In this role, you will look to improve customer profitability through mix management, brand strategy deployment, onsite merchandising, and promotional effectiveness – and share your learnings with the global digital commerce organization.

Responsibilities

With our Consumer at the heart, your key focus will be:

Main focus is to create digital commerce (e-commerce) strategies and implement executions across the entire portfolio of digital commerce platforms in Japan to deliver budget P&L ensuring YoY growth. The roll will require dynamic and quick actions with learning agility to accelerate digital commerce growth and monitor long term and short-term opportunities. This role also requires self-starter mindset to set and track KPIs of digital commerce activities with day-to-day management and periodical M&E (Measurement & Evaluation), updating and optimizing the plans and constantly adapting them to suit performance. S/he will work closely across different levels of the organization internally and externally, including Global Digital Commerce, EEURA region, Japan Commercial, Japan Marketing, external distributor, local agencies, and vendors, to identify, develop and execute e-commerce opportunities. In this role, he/she will look to improve sales and profitability of Bacardi Japan by different approach of activities, including CRM (consumer firsthand data management), RGM (revenue growth management), portfolio presentation, SEO, promotional activities, maintenance of existing digital commerce site.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Create and implement key customer strategies to attain sales revenue targets and achieve company goals, always keeping the consumer at the heart. These customers include Marketplaces, Delivery Apps and Online specialists.
  • Build a robust new business pipeline to expand our existing RTM partnerships.
  • Responsibility for negotiating annual terms and JBP planning ensuring a long-term sustainable investment and growth model
  • Full management of the P&L ensuring YoY improvements in revenue and gross profit across all customers and brands.
  • Full accountability of Trade and A&P budgets: Work cross-functionally to manage trade investment and A&P budgets, reports and follow up with spending.
  • Further develop existing customer relationships through fact-based industry and category insights both at higher category level as well as using retailer specific data.
  • Act as the Digital Commerce expert for Japan. Lead, plan and execute the short- and long-term strategic plan, collaboratively working with Global Digital Commerce team, local Commercial team, local Marketing team, EEURA Region team, and Japan key stakeholders internally and externally. Influence Commercial team to help build broader organizational Digital Commerce expertise by coaching and training local resources.
  • Facilitate the building of strong top-to-top relationships with our key customer and distributor executives, working closely with Commercial team (Off trade).
  • Create and own a clear reporting and tracking document across all accounts to communicate performance and challenges effectively to senior management and ensure all objectives are exceeded.
  • Ensure alignment and integration of digital commerce into the customer marketing teams and be able to influence the development of concept briefs and budgeting through to execution.
  • Identify, quantify and develop opportunities within direct to consumer and drive CRM programs (consumer firsthand data infrastructure development & management) to maximize the sales and build brand equities. 

Skills and Experience

The Skills & Experience needed to create your legacy
  • 3+ years of digital commerce/sales experience, managing, planning & marketing experience with pure play retailers.
  • Experience working with Amazon.
  • FMCG expertise is highly valued.
  • Ability to determine current and future Digital commerce trends, having an emphasis on planning, forecasting, building Digital commerce and internal specific programs.
  • Demonstrate exceptional financial and commercial acumen and strategic thinking.
  • Extensive experience in P&L management and developing new accounts.
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Strategic account planning ability through IAP negotiations 
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Proficient in Internet navigation, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Fluent in Japanese and English a necessity.
