About the role

YOUR OPPORTUNITY

The Customer Solutions Director is responsible for developing and communicating brand, customer and category solutions that enable BUSA to deliver disproportionate share growth through thought leadership while aligning to the customer’s value proposition. You (along with Customer Solutions team) must develop a strategic partnership with Chain Customers, BUSA NRS, SGWS, BUSA Customer Marketing and CBU’s that brings our brands to life through high level thought leadership, communication and execution.

ABOUT YOU
  • You will be responsible to deliver key performance targets as determined by the Customer Solutions plan
  • You will be accountable for the delivering value to retailer through category, brand and customer mkt. solutions
  • You will build and maintain effective relationships with strategic customers, internal and external stakeholders as well as distributor partners 
  • You will deliver actionable customer/category insights that drive BUSA performance to key external and internal stakeholders
  • You will drive use of Shopper and Brand marketing assets along with an insights based approach to activate our brands to influence customer/category behavior
  • You will identify opportunities for new business and provide critical input into the development of category

WITH OUR CONSUMER AT THE HEART YOUR KEY FOCUS WILL BE

Provide Customer Value
  • Build organizational muscle around New Customer Value propositions – Insights, Cust Mkt., Long Lead Planning (JBP’s) & E-Comm
  • Deliver Consumer/Category Insights to Customer, SGWS and NRS
  • Co-Own Assortment and Long-Term Brand Strategy in Customers  
  • Interface with Customer Marketing in co-leading Brand Development in customers (including Shopper Insights, multicultural)
  • Support NAM team and Customer Mkt. in the development of custom brand programs to satisfy customer needs and business opportunities
Deliver Category Solutions
  • Deliver new ideas and thinking that drive both BUSA and Retailer $ growth
  • Build and deliver brand, category, customer presentations to support our key business objectives: new items, retail strategy & promotional activity
  • Ensure consistent coordination with the CBU’s to Win With all Customers
Enhance Wiring
  • Lead Customer Joint Business Planning process that aligning Bacardi Portfolio with Customers’ strategies
  • Develop Customer Solutions muscle in broader BUSA Sales organization (CBU’s)
  • Develop strategic WOW with SGWS Cust. Development Lead to maximize impact of BUSA solutions
Develop Talent
  • Work with the Sales Leadership team to build a shared sense of purpose among your teams
  • Align all employees behind the targets and create a passion for winning in the organization
  • Recognize accomplishments and behaviors in a timely manner
  • Ensure all employees have a knowledge of Bacardi history and culture
  • Manage Customer Development Team Budgets (T&E)
  • Ensure that your team has resources needed to deliver desired results 
  • Own the management and development of talent within your team 

Skills and Experience

THE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE NEEDED TO CREATE YOUR LEGACY
  • 5-7+ years Category Management, Customer Development, Insights experience in a leading FMCG company at a national level within a beverage industry
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business or equivalent, Master’s degree preferred
  • Demonstrated capacity to communicate and work effectively across functional groups/departments
  • Experience of developing and mentoring direct reports
  • Ability to apply business experiences across multiple product lines and/or channels 
  • Aptitude to think creatively and strategically and translate strategy into operational tactics.  
  • An independent mindset, valuing collaborative decision making, capable of championing ideas with confidence
  • Proven track record of creating compelling and successful category/brand solutions tailored to customers as well as the ability to effectively communicate plans across matrix

The following experiences are preferred:

  • Experience in the Spirits Industry is a distinct advantage 
  • Experience in additional functions beyond the ones listed above
