About the role


As our Compensation & Benefits Director, you will play a key role in consulting and partnering with the business on all matters related to employee compensation and benefits plans and practices. You will assist the VP of Compensation and Benefits in driving and implementing globally aligned compensation and benefits plans to ensure local competitiveness. You will lead the brilliant execution of the programs and plans and ensure delivery of the highest level of service to the Human Resource function, business, and our Primos. You will play a key role in driving the global C&B disruptive and digitized solutions to build the HR and Primos capabilities on our total pay schemes and offerings.

  • Participate in the development of globally consistent communications regarding total rewards, led by the Global VP, Compensation & Benefits. 
  • Lead, review and approve compensation offer packages for regional executive roles to assure proper execution and compliance with standards.  Escalate those outside Global guidelines for review and approval.
  • Review and approve compensation offers related to international movements. Partner with global mobility and local HR teams to ensure compliance to global policies and local standards.
  • Lead compensation and benefits studies to ensure global/local market competitiveness; compile data and analyse against internal data as well as industry and make recommendations including program revisions and new program design; monitor effectiveness of ongoing programs.
  • Partner with local HR and Legal teams on the development of legislature and potential updates to benefit and other plans.  Liaise with Global Compensation and Benefits. 
  • Manage professional relationships with country business leaders, external consultants, and vendors.
  • Lead the annual budgeting process at a regional level involving partnering with country HR and regional finance teams. 
  • Manage execution of the annual merit and bonus planning cycle, and long-term incentive process within the Region; establish timelines in alignment with the global calendar and monitor for consistency and conformance to policies; coordinate timeline with the talent management team.
  • Lead consulting with business partners on the design and management of employee benefit programs including health and welfare and retirement programs.
  • Participate in enterprise-wide projects, as needed, that will develop global infrastructure, including areas of systems, mobility, and employment.
  • Lead global C&B disruptive and digital solutions including the Total Pay Platform Project. 

Skills and Experience

  • Minimum 10 years’ experience in compensation and benefits
  • Experience in the FMCG or beverage alcohol industry a plus
  • University degree in business or related field or equivalent experience is required
  • Global / Regional experience in managing Compensation and Benefits initiatives involving multi-geographic stakeholder management; Experience/exposure to different market types and dynamics 
  • Experience with employment law and benefits legislation and practices within the local markets; Knowledgeable of the latest trends in compensation and benefits
  • Company and employee-focused approach with proven success leading global compensation and benefits function
  • Robust planning & project management skills
  • Successful and timely delivery of C&B plans to meet the business and local needs within the umbrella of global guidelines
  • Compliance management without issue
  • Strong negotiation and influencing skills, leadership presence, networking skills, listening and interpersonal sensitivity 
  • Matrix management in terms of managing global and local HR teams; Hiring leader confidence in deliverables; Feedback from country business and HR teams
  • Experience managing a dispersed global team of compensation and benefits professionals
  • Proactive, timely, and effective communicator - bias for actions and results
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products with advanced level skills in Excel
  • Proficient in advanced written and spoken English
