About the role

Your Opportunity

eCommerce Analyst –, is responsible for importing, transforming, validating and/or modelling data to help better our understanding on digital marketing performance, category sales, profitability, share, etc., and draw conclusions and insights to drive decision making on the Digital Commerce Team as it relates to working with our customers on their omnichannel growth plans. 

In addition to working with the NAM Digital Commerce Teams, you will be collaborating with cross-functional teams including OMD, Key Account Managers, Commercial Analysts, CP&A, Finance, Shopper Marketing, and more. Examples of some of our omnichannel retailers include NRS accounts like Walmart, Total Wine, Target; Regional Chains like Binny’s, Specs; State-Owned stores like Fine Wine & Good Spirits (PLCB), NH Liquor & Wine Outlet (NHLC).

You have a knack for looking at data. You’re detail-oriented with strong documentation and communication skills. You have a passion for problem-solving, and strong diagnostic skills in order to connect the dots and provide a thorough business analysis.


With our Consumer at the heart, your key focus will be to:
  • Support with the development of the overall digital commerce strategy in NAM through effective analysis of market, customer, and competitor data, identifying trends, and drawing out actionable insights and correlations to inform future direction
  • Create and deliver regular and timely reports and/or presentations to inform team and broader organization on performance against KPIs, annual targets and NAM digital commerce growth ambition
  • Support post-mortem analysis and optimization of online shopper marketing, digital merchandising, and promotional campaigns, working closely with the digital commerce team
  • Track omnichannel campaign performance against KPIs, analyzing site traffic, conversion, sales volume, and consumer behavior, generating insights and recommendations to optimize performance and improve our digital profitability
  • Support the development and timely activation of strategic account JBP and lead in the identification of opportunities and competitive threats to achieving defined business and brand targets
  • Ensure that all digital promotional and activity plans are considerate of appropriate marketing and sales metrics and targets
  • Compiling regular and timely reports to inform team on performance against the goals of the campaigns and yearly target 
  • Tier 1 data insight generation including but not limited to value & volume sales, competitor analysis, basket analysis, key category and brand search terms identification, consumer behavior within category and brand
  • Exploring market, customer, and competitor data for leading indicators of category trends; work with stakeholders to determine specific questions, but also explore where the data leads in a self-directed way
  • Creating custom dashboards, charts, and pivot tables on demand
  • Analyzing and presenting solutions for the digital commerce, brand, customer marketing and sales teams to activate 

Skills and Experience

The Skills & Experience needed to create your legacy
  • 2-4 years of working experience in sales/analyst/digital commerce roles 
  • Digital commerce business acumen – Fluency across sales/basket, media/performance, operations, and promotions data
  • Demonstrated intellectual curiosity, passion for problem-solving, and strong diagnostic skills in order to connect the dots and provide a thorough business analysis
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
  • Bias for action with a scrappy willingness to roll up your sleeves and go the extra mile to persist and get the job done
  • High level of presentation and communication skills.
  • Ability to deal with ambiguity, change and matrix management. 
  • Hands-on experience in Power BI
  • Proficient in online marketing and web analytics tools
  • Proven experience in reporting analytics across different media channels and media types (Display, Search). 
  • Global E-commerce Channel experience e.g., Amazon is an asset
  • Experience working in a start-up environment and/or in direct-to-consumer ecommerce outside of spirits and/or CPG is an asset
