About the role

Your Opportunity

The Engineering Manager plays a pivotal role within the Jacksonville site. The role has the responsibility to build a comprehensive CAPEX plan that will enable the Jacksonville site to deliver its strategy while balancing the needs for more operational projects such as continuous improvement. Key player to initiate the transformation of the site, the Engineering manager will need to synthesize the needs of the departments, priorities and build a coherent plan for the next 5-10 years. Once defined, this role will own the coordination and successful execution of the plan.

The Engineering manager is an effective team player that can both penetrate technical topics and successfully lead teams through complex projects. Vision and strategic thinking will be key to apprehend the long term needs of the site and set us in the right direction. Responsibilities

With our Consumer at the heart, your key focus will be to:
  • Owner and responsible of the Jax OC Master Plan shaping the short- and long-term view of the facility (5, 10, 20 yrs) in collaboration with all key stakeholders. 
  • Coordinate the Capex prioritization process every year based on need of each key stakeholder, Capex Prioritization goals set by Geneva, JAX OC business need and the JAX OC Master Plan.
  • Prepare the 3 yr Capex investment plan as required by Global Operations in collaboration with relevant Stakeholders
  • Support the continuous improvement effort in the plant through a mix of right technology and smart investments 
  • Manage the CAPEX portfolio of project and ensure timely submissions
  • Own project execution for the Jacksonville site, ensuring projects are delivered in time, quality and cost
  • Collaborate effectively with key functions to ensure buy-in and smooth project execution 
  • Control site budget, ensuring POs and payments are made timely and within the plant budget
  • Coach and develop the Engineering team to build the next talent for the Bacardi OC
  • Bring the outside in by continuously benchmarking internally and externally, challenging the status quo

Skills and Experience

The Skills & Experience needed to create your legacy
  • Engineering experience: 10-15y minimum
  • Engineering degree required (ME, CE, EE)
  • Proficient in reliability engineering methodology and development of asset strategies 
  • Clear and concise communicator 
  • Proficient electrical, process and mechanical skills
  • Education or proven experience in project and portfolio management
  • Financial acumen
