About the role

YOUR OPPORTUNITY

We are seeking a strong (Environmental, Social and Governance), Procurement Sustainability Lead to join our Procurement team. The Procurement Sustainability Lead will be responsible for leading the company's efforts to incorporate sustainability into all procurement activities, including supplier selection, sourcing, and contract management. This individual will be a key player in helping our company meet its ESG & sustainability goals and drive change in the Spirits industry.

ABOUT YOU

  • You are passionate about sustainability and procurement, and you want to make a difference in the Spirits industry by helping Bacardi layout the Procurement ESG vision. 
  • You are entrepreneurial and will need to know how to operate in an agile and changing environment, working very closely with your internal and external stakeholders.
  • You will need to be able to implement strategies, define clear roadmap with suppliers and drive actions while ensure continuity of supply.


Responsibilities

WITH OUR CONSUMER AT THE HEART YOUR KEY FOCUS WILL BE
  • Define and oversee the sustainable sourcing strategy for key raw materials, including engaging with third party certifications to ensure robust standards and effective execution.
  • Contribute to develop a Sustainability policy that guides all procurement activities and decision-making for the company.
  • Oversee audit findings and support corrective action plans to ensure suppliers are meeting are standards.
  • Develop and implement a sustainability strategy for procurement that aligns with the company's overall sustainability goals and objectives and puts Bacardi at the forefront of responsible and regenerative sourcing practices.
  • Identify, evaluate, and manage sustainability risks and opportunities in the supply chain.
  • Collaborate with Procurement and partners/suppliers to promote sustainable practices and drive continuous improvement (through actions plans, certifications and standard definition).
  • Work with the Procurement teams to ensure that sustainability considerations are integrated into all sourcing and contract management activities as we all as selection criteria definition.
  • Embed ESG/Sustainability within core procurement processes and digital procurement strategy.
  • Develop and maintain metrics to track and report on the sustainability performance of suppliers (and procurement category managers) to reach our company’s ESG targets and provide this data to support ESG reporting requirements.
  • Articulate a cross-functional team to drive sustainability initiatives and projects linking with our Good Spirited Program.
  • Engage and collaborate with Procurement teams and supplier on Responsible Procurement projects and capability building programs through regular webinars, e-learnings and development of toolkits and best practices.
  • Ensure sourcing strategy categories embed a detailed roadmap to deliver ESG goals.
  • Stay current on industry trends as well as changing regulatory environment to constantly sharpen and drive implementation of best practices in sustainable procurement and share insights with the procurement and sustainability teams.
  • Support company's sustainability communication with reporting on goals and progress to internal and external partners. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to identify opportunities for sustainable practices, such as the use of renewable energy or the implementation of circular economy principles.

Skills and Experience

THE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE NEEDED TO CREATE YOUR LEGACY

Education:
  • A minimum of 7 years of experience in supply chain/procurement and/or sustainability, with a track record of success in developing and implementing sustainability strategies and driving change across organisations in a matrix structure.

Experience:
  • FMCG background is a plus but no must.

Languages:
  • Fluent English: other languages are an asset.

Functional Skills:
  • Passionate about sustainability and procurement, wants to make a difference in the Spirits industry.
  • Strong understanding of sustainability principles, practices, certifications, tools and processes (in areas as sustainable supply chains, bio-diversity protection, auditing and compliance) including lifecycle analysis, carbon footprinting, and sustainable sourcing principles.
  • Solid understanding of procurement functions
  • Supplier Relationship Management
  • Main categories to be covered will be Packaging, Raw Materials (agricultural) and Indirect Procurement.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and influencing skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with crossfunctional teams and build strong relationships with suppliers.
  • Strong analytical and project management skills, with the ability to lead complex projects and drive results.
  • Proven ability to think creatively and develop innovative solutions to complex sustainability challenges.


Technical Skills:
  • MS Office advanced is a plus.
  • SAP, BI is a plus.
