About the role

WHAT DOES AN EXTERNAL MANUFACTURING SENIOR MANAGER DO?

With a primary responsibility of leading External Manufacturing for LAC Region (Toll & Contract) , the External Manufacturing Senior Manager will also Lead the Regional External Manufacturing Strategy, integrating and supporting LAC Sourcing Strategy. 
The LAC External Manufacturing mission is to Develop & maintain reliable network of external Operations through existing & new strategic partners to deliver superior product quality, benchmark cost & sustainable value beyond price by leveraging copackers footprint to enter in new Geographies and technology.
Additionally, you will actively liaise with internal and external executives of the Businesses on various projects and tasks related to External Manufacturing .

Responsibilities

WITH OUR CONSUMER AT THE HEART, YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES WILL BE TO:
  • Lead & develop all external manufacturing for LAC region with his Team, including but not limited to process, labor, information, and expenditures.
  • Lead & develop a network of external manufacturing sites that support both short- and long-term strategies to include value beyond price and ensures superb customer service. 
  • Lead with his Team the contracts negotiation with external manufacturing sites
  • Optimize contract type (Toll, Contract or Profit sharing with Bulk) vs business needs presenting business cases to LAC Supply Chain Head
  • Develop, track, and manage appropriate KPI’s through his Team for external manufacturers as per Manufacturing excellence standards (BOS).
  • Ensure all external manufacturing sites adhere to all Bacardi standards (Quality, GMP, SLA, Sustainability etc.) with no legal exposure for Bacardi
  • Ensure proper cost reporting according to Bacardi standards
  • Liaison with QEHS for compliance, quality and corporate responsibilities
  • Lead / Develop regional strategies planning based on internal and external capabilities
  • Manage and support regional projects with emphasis on external manufacturing
  • Assist in driving and improving Bacardi Operating System to conform with strategy planning
  • Lead and foster intra-company and external best practices
  • Bring new ideas in respect of progressive and lean manufacturing methods and apply these in a practical and pragmatic manner in partnership with External Manufacturing Partners.

Skills and Experience

THE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE NEEDED TO CREATE YOUR LEGACY:
  • Experience in the bottling/packaging industry (food &beverage, FMCGs, pharmaceutical, perfume and fragrance, etc.) experience managing external manufacturing in LATAM.
  • Supply Chain experience with Strategic thinking a plus
  • Superb Negotiations Skills doubled with written and verbal communication skills, acing delivery of clear messages 2 levels up internally
  • Strong time-management skills and the ability to organize and coordinate multiple projects and Teams at once
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Powerpoint, Excel, MS project, Teams etc. SAP Practical knowledge is a plus
  • Flexible team player willing to do what it takes to get the job done; adaptable and enjoys a challenge
PERSONAL QUALITIES
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Engineering related field with related Experience
  • Master’s Degree in Business a plus
  • Experience in developing and overseeing budgets strategically
