About the role

Your Opportunity

Finance Controller plays a critical role being responsible for Poland market finance and accounting direction on the day-to-day basis, the coordination, implementation, execution, control and completion of the below tasks ensuring consistency with general accepted principles, Bacardi policies, strategy, commitments and agreed targets

Responsibilities

With our Consumer at the heart, your key focus will be:

Drive results and excellence in execution
  • Ownership of local statutory accounting and reporting
  • Liaise with Bacardi Corporate Finance, Regional Controller, Internal Control, Regional SOX Manager, Corporate Tax Teams and provide service and support required from the market side 
  • Establish and maintain required level of internal control and compliance
  • Drive local process improvement initiatives
  • Coordinate management of the market overheads and A&P budget
  • Ensure potential financial risks and implications are evaluated, escalated and minimized
  • Coordinate tax matters/audits with local tax authorities, Bacardi Global Tax team and Regional Tax Manager
  • Liaise with internal / external auditors and implement action plans as per audit recommendations
  • Ensure right level of service agreed in the Service Level Agreements is provided by Bacardi Global Business Solution (Shared Services Centre) and external payroll servicing company 
  • Provide necessary financial service and advisory to HR in employee costs and budgeting, Sales and Marketing related accounting and reporting
  • Liaise with local banks and ensure service is up to standard
  • Challenge and encourage the Bacardi Polska team to look for optimizations and improve ways of working

Skills and Experience

The Skills & Experience needed to create your legacy
  • Min 5 years Finance/Accounting experience, preferably in an FMCG company
  • Have at least 3-year experience as Finance Controller
  • Have been responsible for statutory compliance and a have track record of insuring accurate financial information
  • Be experienced in ensuring internal controls are valid and applied 
  • Be customer oriented in flagging the impact of financial regulations on the business and proposing ways of mitigating risks, understanding business needs/challenges, and proposing workable solutions
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and communication skills to establish, foster and maintain working relationships within the organization 
  • Have a results-oriented mindset focused on target delivery and overcoming objectives
  • Be able to work independently but at the same time be a team player who builds rapport with others
  • Advanced in setting priorities and managing multiple tasks and projects under pressure
  • Hands-on approach and “can do” attitude
  • Confident and proficient in the use of key Finance systems (incl. SAP), MS Office with advanced Excel skills
  • Experience in cooperating with shared service center
  • Languages: native Polish and advanced English skills
Personal Qualities
  • Ensuring integrity and accuracy of financial information
  • Timely submission of all statutory and corporate statements and reports
  • Market Working Capital and Balance Sheet accuracy
  • Sufficient level of internal controls to ensure compliance with local market and Bacardi laws and regulations
  • Timely and tailormade communication of changes, processes, requirements, or regulations to Primos to ensure full understanding and implementation
  • Financial performance and targets delivered to plan
