About the role
- Your ability to operate and orchestrate seamlessly within the matrix will be critical for your success in this role
- You are a Finance Leader- with experience in leading multidisciplined Finance teams as well as multifunction project teams. Process focused with an understanding of end-to-end business processes and their financial impacts. Understanding of strong compliance & controls, and how to develop appropriate guidelines
Responsibilities
- Lead the finance function including subsystems such as: Performance Management, Revenue Growth Management, Stewardship and Supply Chain Finance for Brazil, Uruguay and Paraguay Cluster BUP).
- Provide direction and guidance for long-term financial indicators. Influence the market leadership team to drive productivity and effectiveness initiatives.
- Actively manage, design and execute working and cash management initiatives.
- Ensure the teams always does the right thing, delivering SOX Controls, Internal and External Audits, as well continue working to embed Stewardship as part of the organization.
- Work together with Tax (planning/compliance) and Legal team, to timely lead and manage tax initiatives.
- Be a business co-pilot to the BUP Managing Director in order to deliver strong financial performance and value creation for the business
- Lead financial and strategic planning and analysis for strategy execution.
- Develop and foster a robust compliance and controls environment to ensure sustainable business performance.
- Ensure audits are flawlessly executed and that no findings are identified.
- Navigate the matrix in order to get the right service level from different Center of Excellence or Regional/Global functions such as the Shared Service Center, Tax, Regional Controllership and technical accounting among others.
- Timely identify Risks & Opportunities.
- Coordinate multifunctional teams either to mitigate potential risks and/or capitalize opportunities.
- Develop talent and a strong finance organization.
- Own Cluster’s Profit and Loss, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow statements
Skills and Experience
- Solid Finance experience and proven record successfully delivering results in matrix organization, managing multiple stakeholders in a complex environment
- Ability to steer the financial performance of multiple countries.
- Experience in leading multidisciplined finance teams as well as multifunction project teams
- Proven experience of introducing and managing changes to finance systems, procedures and practices. Understanding of strong compliance & controls, and how to develop appropriate guidelines
- Proven leadership within a matrix organization, managing multiple stakeholders in a complex environment
- Qualified accountant ACCA, ACA, CPA, (or equivalent), or substantial relevant work experience
- Strong people management
- Strong influence, persuasion and negotiation skills.
- Fluent English is mandatory. Spanish is desirable.
- Globally minded and able to demonstrate cross-cultural understanding and sensitivity
- Ability to communicate effectively to senior leadership in order to influence and inform decision making
- Skilled at organizing and prioritizing multiple projects and resource constraints to optimize results
- Resilience and mental strength to deal with ambiguity
- Strategic mindset, ability to identify root cause issues and develop plans to resolve
