About the role

YOUR OPPORTUNITY

A truly unique role offering the opportunity to influence GTR IMEA performance with the chance to help dynamically manage fast-growth P&L & gain front-line commercial finance experience.

On the one hand, you will be involved in regional strategic planning discussions, resource allocation modelling, regional P&L reporting and management, and submission of budget estimates. On the other, you will be getting into the details on IMEA’s sales performance, working with the commercial teams to identify opportunities & drive delivery, managing costs & tracking KPIs in the P&L.

Responsibilities

WITH OUR CONSUMER AT THE HEART YOUR KEY FOCUS WILL BE

PERFORMANCE MEASUREMENT & PLANNING:
Manage month-end, quarter-end and year-end reporting processes, with the following specific responsibilities:
  • Working closely with the IMEA’s commercial team to prepare monthly P&L landing estimates, built through having a strong understanding of business trends, key drivers and emerging opportunities
  • Helping build detailed monthly regional performance reports including market wise, brand wise and customer wise Net Sales Value, Gross Margin %, Direct Brand Contribution forecasts, actuals and root causing variances to planned numbers 
  • Compiling full year projected regional and market wise P&Ls based on S&OP volume forecasts received from Demand planning team 
  • Supporting preparation, upload and submission of the regional Budgets and in year forecasts, by building the necessary templates, 
  • Working seamlessly with the global GTR Finance team and carrying out any other ad-hoc projects as required


COMMERCIAL DECISION SUPPORT:
Act as business partner to Regional Director, Sales Managers and Customer Marketing Manager with the following specific responsibilities:
  • Preparing customer profitability models for new customer acquisition, negotiating better trade terms or opening of a new market location
  • Supporting the Commercial team in identifying opportunities to take price increase and drive margin in annual customer negotiations
  • Preparing annual commercial plans for review and approval by Regional Director and Sr Finance Manager 
  • Leading the quarterly customer credit reviews and evaluations
  • Work with teams to ensure all pricing and promotion implemented within guidelines or exceptions are approved with Revenue Growth Management team.
  • Ensuring integrity of price list in the system by reviewing the completeness and correctness
MARKETING DECISION SUPPORT
  • Reviewing monthly A&P Budget Planner vs. Annual A&P budget and challenge regional CMM lead and customer planners on optimizing ROI on incremental A&P spends 
  • Reporting monthly actual region, A&P spends and highlighting variances and discrepancies and ensuring robust accounting principles are applied
  • Conduct M&E and ROI analysis to assess effectiveness of marketing spend and to help allocate resource appropriately

STRUCTURE COST DECISION SUPPORT

To support financial and operational planning, budgeting, forecasting and analytics for structure costs


Skills and Experience

SKILLS - THE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE NEEDED TO CREATE YOUR LEGACY
  • 8+ years of relevant experience in financial/ strategic analysis gleaned from experience in a consumer goods/ retail environment or professional services
  • Strong communication, influencing & collaboration skills required in order to achieve results across the organisation
  • Comfortable organizing & prioritizing multiple deliverables & resource constraints to optimize results
  • High comfort modelling & understanding large & complex data sets into useful information & insights
  • Education: Accounting qualification preferred (ACCA, ACA, CIMA, CA or equivalent). Degree level with strong results
