Your Opportunity

The finance manager of S. Korea will serve as the business partner to the business organization of S. Korea to support business strategy for S. Korea business.

This position will ensure the support provided are best in class and completely adhered to the best approach defined. The position first level supports to the team, ensuring a Financially healthy environment for the future growth in S. Korea. 

The person in this position will have the opportunity to develop a strong knowledge to overseeing entire Finance This role will regularly interact with several organizational levels, ranging from staff to directors (regional and global), and also with BES team. As a key enabling position in the finance team, a consumer at heart mindset is essential. 

About You 

Bacardi S. Korea is looking for a high performing individual who is success driven and interested in a position within finance acting as the partner to the business.  The finance manager is a highly competitive role structured to strengthen communication, strategy, and issue resolution for stakeholders in S. Korea organization.

The desired individual will gain experience managing internal client relationships between finance and other business groups. This role provides the support and training required to develop Primos of their financial understanding on financial figures vs how can they impact the #s in their areas a well-rounded skillset, which can be the foundation for advancing at Bacardi.

Job Purpose
  • To drive the business planning process in preparation and analysis of Budgets, Latest Estimates and Strategic Plans. Provide useful information to the Country leadership team for their insightful decision making on business strategies and future direction setting.
  • To drive the company’s financial accounting process by ensuring accuracy and completeness of general ledger transactions in accordance with statutory regulations and generally accepted accounting principles and to maintain integrity of accounting records and systems.
  • To drive the month closing process for the company to ensure the integrity of accounting treatment and financial records and to provide timely, rigorous and insightful financial information for the achievement of business results. To coordinate with regional Finance team to manage financial risks and maximize the unit’s after tax earnings and cash flow.
  • To drive the company’s accounting policies, procedures and controls to guarantee financial integrity and provide respective training to relevant users and beneficiaries. To maintain an effective internal control environment for financial reporting in compliance with Bacardi policies and procedures and external requirements (Tax, Sarbanes-Oxley, etc.)
  • To provide ad-hoc report and information upon request of the Country Leadership team, Regional team to support their effective decision making with less risks


With our Consumer at the heart, your key focus will be:

Financial planning & Analysis
  • Provide valuable information to the Country Leadership Team & business functions to support their effective Decision making
  • Short and long term financial projections
  • Prepare budget, latest estimate and ensure alignment with regional guideline and company strategy
  • Revenue growth management
  • Support ad-hoc business initiatives requiring financial costing analysis*(Sr. Accountant will be hired, and will be reporting to the position person.)
Month end closing  
  • Manage and review daily accounting transactions & treatment and ensure compliance with statutory  accounting principles and Bacardi accounting policy
  • Review monthly financial statement with accuracy and compliance with statutory accounting regulations and US GAAP
  • Provide comprehensive explanation to management & regional team for variances actual against budget to inform company’s performance adequately
Cash flow management and Tax compliances
  • Control bank account and safety of transaction
  • Funding from group or bank, Maintain relationship with banks.
  • Accurate cashflow forecast, and review regularly if there’s any further funding requirement
  • Maintain and review all documents for tax filing (liquor tax, corporate tax, vat, income tax, excise tax, etc.) and ensure all compliance with local regulations
  • Support year end corporate tax filing with external agency and prepare all requested documents
  • Coordinate with regional tax team for TP documentation and other tax reporting and projects 
  • Monitor and screen if all transaction are maintained with appropriate documentations in line with liquor tax regulations
Internal Control 
  • Ensure compliances with Sabanes - Oxley and Bacardi policies
  • Review internal control process with Regional team and develop effective control process and train relevant users and functions
  • Communicate with relevant functions on accounting policies and internal control procedures

Skills and Experience

The Skills & Experience needed to create your legacy
  • Bachelor's or higher degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • FMCG company experience is preferred.
  • Over 10 years of relevant experiences in Finance & Accounting with more than 5 years of financial management reporting experiences
  • Strong knowledge of KGAAP and US GAAP
  • Strong knowledge on local tax, financial reporting & accounting, monthly closing and consolidation process, cash flow planning, tax compliance and business planning.
  • Good knowledge of both distribution model and direct to consumer model
  • Fluent Korean and English language capability required
