Responsibilities

With our Consumer at the heart, your key focus will be to:
  • Communicate with business partners frequently on the closing timeline and provide insight on accounting treatment and financial impact on global leasing transactions
  • Manage the accounting and recording of lease activity (including new real estate leases, equipment leases, lease modifications, renewals, subleases, income leases, acquired leases, etc.) in accordance with GAAP 
  • Track and reconcile contractual lease obligations to actual monthly lease payments
  • Prepare consolidated lease disclosures for annual financial statements and related audit support
  • Assist in the preparation of the consolidated financial statements and footnotes
  • Prepare the statement of cash flows and supporting documentation  
  • Work with external auditors to provide requested deliverables
  • Perform ad-hoc projects and technical research to help analyze or support Company decisions
  • Manage multiple projects, including projects for process improvement
  • Support team with ad hoc requests and support of the external audit and SOX
  • Partner with function leads in ensuring the accounting policies and procedures are published and updated

Skills and Experience

The Skills & Experience needed to create your legacy
  • Strong knowledge of financial accounting, U.S. GAAP and SEC public company reporting
  • Direct oversight and experience with SAP and IBM Cognos systems
  • Direct experience with Sarbanes-Oxley internal control reporting requirements
  • Direct experience in U.S. GAAP lease accounting
  • Proven analytical and presentation skills
  • Highly motivated self-starter with the ability to work independently and within a team environment to achieve results
  • Highly proficient in Excel, Word and PowerPoint and Office
  • Bachelor's or higher degree in Accounting or Finance and CPA, CA or ACCA qualification required. 
  • The following experience is preferred, +5 years of public accounting experience in a global accounting firm
