About the role

Your Opportunity

The UK OC (Operations Centre) is responsible for the production and supply of Bacardi’s Scotch Whisky and Gin,  including DEWAR’S®, ABFERFELDY® and BOMBAY SAPPHIRE®.

The Front of House Ambassador & HR Coordinator is a varied role providing our guests with a seamless experience to our site, conveying the quality of our product as well as our heritage and the culture of our company. Additionally, this role will support the HR team with key people activities such as HR Admin, onboarding, and inductions. This role owns the induction process for anyone who is joining the business (external or internal moves). They will also support HRBP’s with key communications and engagement activities. 

This role is responsible for running and managing the reception area and activities but flexibility on core activities will be key. The role will also help assist with in-house events and be responsible for the conference areas. 
Please note this assignment is a 6-month contract role.

About You 

You will have experience and background in a front of house reception role, be well organized, able to prioritize workload in an ever-changing environment and possess excellent communication skills. You will have a proactive and can-do attitude with the ability to respond quickly and effectively. With excellent interpersonal and customer service skills, you welcome visitors to our site in line with our values and culture. 

You will have experience in an administrative role and be proactive and willing to learn new tasks, always looking to execute to a high level and improve processes. You have a desire to learn core HR processes and activities with a view to pursuing a career in HR such as a HR business partner. 

This would be an ideal position for a graduate who is looking for an entry into HR.


With our Consumer at the heart, your key focus will be to:
  • Be the face of our brands as the first person visitors meet onsite. Create a 5-star experience for visitors to our site by welcoming them to our local site and keeping a FOH 
  • Core front of house duties, e.g. welcoming guests and informing the local contact of their arrival, answering phone, responsibility of managing meeting rooms and relevant catering options, complete opening and closing procedures, assisting all visitors in administration needs like taxi bookings, offering/collecting PPE, refreshments, communications for Visitors (e.g. Safety video; visitor maps) etc.
  • Own and execute the Becoming Bacardi Onboarding Process for all new joiners, including all associated admin 
  • Arrange and manage Corporate inductions including speakers and mixology sessions
  • Responsibility of the on-site company bar area including completing stock checks, bar displays, and organizing masterclasses. 
  • Responsible for the co-ordination and implementation of inhouse events and brand/heritage initiatives such as Founder’s Day and Back to the Bar
  • Act as a local brand ambassador, driving the communication of the quality and authenticity of the brands and their intrinsic values. Brand Advocacy and Brand Connections. Help increase JDSL profile within Bacardi and community.
  • Ensuring the conference areas reflect the standards required and liaising with the relevant business areas to facilitate visitors to attend tours as required. 
  • Support effective corporate communications across the company (JDSL) by supporting Communications Specialist with creating communication that is relevant, eye catching, easy to access and understand, issued timely and supports an increase in Primo Engagement.  Current regular communications include ‘In The Mix’ Magazine, Fearless Moves, Great Spirit Magazine, Year End PR, Engagement Survey, Townhall, and Internal company intranet (Dewar’s Connection) and TV screens out with Reception area (Café Dewar's / Primo Entrance etc.). 
  • Ad-hoc Administrative support within the HR team such as: 
    • Primo Personnel file management and relevant pre / post- employment forms and administration
    • Reward & Recognition, Product Allowance, and gift issues
    • Issuing / mailing  and supporting relevant HR comms e.g. bulk mailers
    • Coordinate Branded Workwear
    • Raising purchase orders
    • Stationary orders
    • Manage all T&E card, PCards and Fuel Cards for JDSL 
    • Support Audits (e.g. Working Time Directive, Training)
    • HR Metrics & reporting
    • Support engagement initiatives across the business and any other tasks as set

Skills and Experience

The Skills & Experience needed to create your legacy
  • Have experience and background in a front of house role. 
  • Be well organized and possess excellent communication skills.
  • A good background and knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) is needed. 
  • Experience of SAP would be advantageous. 
The following experiences are preferred:
  • Bachelors Degree in HR, Business Management or equivalent
