About the role

Your Opportunity

The position of Casa BACARDÍ General Manager is a senior role overseeing the BACARDÍ Brand Home in Puerto Rico, leading the team to develop and maintain operational excellence and grow the branded offering to both Consumers and Trade Advocacy guests.

The Brand Home General Manager is responsible for the commercial development and business growth of the site open to the public, developing and implementing new revenue streams and maximizing profitability. You'll work closely with the Global Brand Team to align guest experience with the BACARDÍ brand strategy.

This role is also responsible for developing the long-term strategic plans of the brand home including CapEx plans and wider commercial development.

About You 

You have a strong understanding of consumer brands and are likely to come from luxury hospitality/leisure environment. You have a challenger mind-set and outstanding commercial skills. Most likely you come from Sales & Marketing background in your early career and are likely to have progressed into a General Management role within the hospitality industry with P&L responsibility.

Responsibilities

With our Consumer at the heart, your key focus will be to:
  • Develop and implement the strategy, 3-5 year development plans, and vision for Casa Bacardi, including CapEx developments, in conjunction with the Bacardi global brand team, Operations and our Brand Homes Director.
  • Foster a culture of excellence in visitor experience and hospitality including setting, training, monitoring, and evaluation of standards.
  • Lead the Brand Homes Operations Manager on site to ensure that the Visitor Centre complies with all corporate governance and EHS licensing legislation as well as deliver excellence in all operational areas including customer service, experience, engagement, site appearance/maintenance, quality of offering, safety/compliance.
  • Overall financial responsibility / accountability for site budget / P&L – creating budgets and driving the implementation onsite. Monitoring performance and leading corrective measures as required.
  • Lead and motivate the team to deliver an engaging visitor experience based on an understanding of the key audiences that visit now and in the future.

Skills and Experience

The Skills & Experience needed to create your legacy
  • Experience in Destination Marketing to maximize footfall and associated revenue streams. Know how to develop proactive commercial relationships with tourism partners.
  • Know how to look for new opportunities to expand the bottom line – maximizing all revenue streams including retail/brand goods, digital Commerce, F&B and events.
  • Digital experience, website management, e-commerce, social media, 1st Party Data acquisition and activation. Experience working with global brand teams would also be highly beneficial.
  • Skilled at communicating with all levels and functions (written, verbal and presentations).
  • Strong numerical, insight and analytical skills.
  • Fluent in English and Spanish.
  • US / Caribbean experience is important; additional international experience would be highly beneficial
