Your Opportunity

As part of realising our company 10 year strategy (the BEST10), lead the transformation of how Bacardi evaluates, selects, designs, develops and deploys promotional activities and consumer transaction tools (point of sale materials, value added packaging) leveraging consumer and commercial insights and the latest digital enablers in order to win at the point of consumption/purchase in our markets around the world. The transformation Bacardi is committed to is truly revolutionary and requires a fundamental shift in approach and execution in every market globally.

With our Consumer at the heart, your key focus will be
  • Lead your team and the broader organisation in shifting our approach to prioritise and invest behind those promotional activities and transaction tools which are most effective in driving consumer consumption and purchase
  • Design and oversee the consumer research and analysis to move Bacardi to an outcomes-based approach to promotional activity and consumer transaction tool selection and deployment
  • Champion the transition to a digital-first approach that leverages the latest technology to drive consumer transaction in store, in outlet and across the omni-channel path to purchase
  • Foster the measurement and evaluation approach that will unlock best practices that will be scaled across all Bacardi brands and markets
  • Lead the global brand teams, regional and local marketing and sales in the development of a global consumer transaction tool catalogue which will serve the needs of the entire organization 
  • Lead the relationship with a strategic sourcing partner to develop a global catalogue and best in class technology interface to service the needs of our front-line sales force around the world
  • Ensure that all items are sourced responsibly and meet all relevant CSR requirements
  • Oversee the optimization of our consumer transaction tool value chain to prioritize key vendors, enable greater agility, shorten timelines and drive efficiency
  • Transform our logistics approach enabling just-in-time inventory management and on time, in full direct store delivery of our consumer transaction tools
  • In partnership with our CSR and Corp Comms teams, design a consumer products industry-leading sustainability agenda that will underlie all our future efforts in transaction tools
  • Lead the development and roll out of new Purchaser Marketing modules within the Bacardi Way of Growth 
  • Build, lead and inspire a virtual team of local stakeholders who will drive the transformation approach in their respective markets and areas
  • Ensure that the organization achieves our FTB10 Sales, Promotion & POSM savings target of $80MM
  • Develop, coach and mentor team of 2 - 3 direct reports

Skills and Experience

The Skills & Experience needed to create your legacy
  • Deep experience in consumer brands marketing and sales with roles of progressive responsibility to Director level
  • Spirits or beverage alcohol experience helpful but not required
  • Ability to oversee agencies and internal stakeholders in design of consumer-based research
  • Comprehensive understanding of brand building, purchaser insight-based channel strategies, occasion-based marketing and shopper marketing approaches 
  • Track record of commercial success across sales and customer management 
  • Strong sense of aesthetics and the ability to lead complex design projects that results in tools that both build brand equity and meet the needs of our commercial partners to drive consumer transaction
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with a broad variety of stakeholders to achieve results 
  • Experience of design-to-manufacture useful but not required
  • Digitally savvy and an advocate for leveraging technology to drive productivity and efficiency   
  • Proven success in managing complex agendas across global markets and senior stakeholders
  • Strong track record of delivering results
