About the role

YOUR OPPORTUNITY

The role will support the Global Marketing performance management team. Supporting in providing analysis and insights related to A&P spend. Global Marketing consist of x brands and x support teams.

The role requires interactions across different functions as a resource to the markets and BES. This role will regularly interact with several organizational levels, ranging from staff to the regional Senior Leadership team.  As a key enabling position in the service center, a customer service mindset is essential.

The Prim@ in the role requires strong analytical skills, being able to transform big amounts of financial data into meaningful insights for market decision makers.
Great customer service and well-developed communication and presentation skills are required for this position's success. 
In this role you will be able to influence the decision-making process for the A&P spending to impact positively the business performance and achieve the BEST 10.

Responsibilities


WITH OUR CONSUMER AT THE HEART YOUR KEY FOCUS WILL BE

Drive results and excellence in execution:

  • Validate and improve the A&P and T&E tracker to understand variances versus plans and recommend actions to all stakeholders.
  • Meet regional budget owners monthly and document actions.
  • Measure and report actual and forecasted progress against budget and strategic choices.
  • Analyse drivers for variances versus plans and partner with local and regional Primos to recommend ways to improve execution in the future.
  • Ad hoc financial analysis to drive a balanced view of the financial impacts of potential decisions.
  • Adhere to company forecasting guidelines and processes
  • Support preparation of key performance measure reporting and analysis
  • Support tracking savings plans and opportunities – reviewing with marketing teams to support choices.
  • Analyse the type of spend and make corrections through manual journals and/or control corrections of PTP team
  • Support on SOX control
  • Ad hoc projects for region or BES

Budgeting and Forecasting:

Manage the A&P Costs budgeting process jointly with the marketing performance management analyst and ensure deadlines are met.
Be the Finance support to Marketing budget owners to update the A&P Costs budget for GMKT. Be a designated expert for A&P cost and commitments management.
Analyse A&P Costs budget and provide insights to the marketing teams on the performance 
Ensure detailed budgets are deployed to cost owners to enable full accountability of spend.
Supporting update of the latest forecast (expected landing) for the full year
Update and improve A&P and T&E trackers
Execute and identify opportunities to automate, streamline and improve reporting and budgeting procedures.

Develop talent and capability: 

Be an expert in financial planning and analysis tools and processes. Execute continuous simplification plans and drive improvement efforts. 
Ensure implementation of learning and development plans for yourself 
Build and foster a solid business partnership with the key internal customers

THE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE NEEDED TO CREATE YOUR LEGACY

To be successful in this role you will have / be:
  • Strong analytical, diagnostic, and problem-solving skills.  Excellent numerical and analytical skills.
  • Ability to produce high-quality presentations summarising key findings, conclusions, and recommendations. Ability to transform financial data into key insights for decision making
  • Strong financial background, including knowledge of the Balance Sheet and P&L.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, and manage his/her time efficiently
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, including the ability to communicate complex issues.
  • Demonstrated team player - ability to build relationships and earn trust from all stakeholders
  • Ability to apply and monitor internal controls, standards, and processes
  • Ability to work in a fast-changing environment
  • Great stakeholder management. Ability to work in and understand a complex matrix-organization
  • Being able manage sensitive/confidential information with markets.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, and manage his/her time efficiently
  • Experience with the MS Office Suite (particularly MS Excel).  Ability to work with IT systems; experience with SAP / TM1 is an advantage
  • Proactive individual that can collaborate and build effective relationships across all levels of the organization, culturally sensitive and a strong communicator – able to interact effectively both with more senior Primos and peers
  • Ability to encourage creative thinking beyond the boundaries of existing company practices and mindsets.

  • University degree in Accounting/Business/Finance or related discipline-
  • Strengths in building trusting relationships and influencing stakeholders to provide the necessary inputs to create accurate insights for markets

  • Advanced English – written and verbal.
