About the role

Your Opportunity

This is a unique opportunity to be part of our Global Procurement  Team and play an important global role in or organization.
You will build deep partnership at global and local level, across Bacardi as Global Category Leader to ensure the continuity of our business, implement global procurement strategy working closely with numerous stakeholders.
You will play a major role, developing and action plan to achieve global targets for the main pillars of the global procurement strategy  A) securing supply sustainability;  B) at Benchmark Cost; and delivering C) value beyond cost, ultimately helping Bacardi to deliver against BEST10 growth aspirations to support sales.

With our Consumer at the heart, your key focus will be:

Strategy Implementation:
  • Define, builds and align global sourcing strategies maximizing Bacardi’s leverage on a worldwide basis supporting our Best10 growth objectives
  • Ensures alignment of the global strategy with key senior stakeholders (Global function heads and OC Directors).
  • Lead the successful implementation of the strategies in all regions of the world in collaboration with OC Procurement Managers. Provide coaching to our OC procurement managers to a successful execution and implementation of your sourcing strategies.
  • Collaborate with other procurement managers across OCs and globally to maximize our sourcing leverage.
  • Define and align category Budget targets and continuously update Long Term plan
  • Supports the Best 10 growth ambition by allowing local bottling opportunities through local glass sourcing where appropriate. 
Supplier Integration Program:
  • Define, align and follow through on Supplier Integration plan with key suppliers to drive value contribution on all strategic category pillars.
  • Drive “Supplier Relationship Management” strategies for the main critical suppliers and enable execution of key SIP initiatives with relevant category suppliers, including local execution of business reviews occurrence in OCs and Global T2T meeting where/when appropriate.
  • Work with suppliers to ensure compliance to Bacardi’s sourcing policies.
  • Develop supply base answering our different needs (limited editions to scale volume)
  • Work with your supply base to meet Bacardi’s Responsible Sourcing objectives (including Sedex adherence and supplier’s audits for the category)
  • Defines the category roadmap towards sustainability improvements and CO2 reduction objective.
  • Facilitate supplier’s performance monitoring to track performance and drives supplier’s improvement.
  • Ensure that a supplier portfolio is developed considering business needs with regards to plants constraints, innovation, contingency, supply chain agility and sustainability
  • Ensures preferred customer status with regards to pricing, supply chain 
Sourcing and development support to the OCs:
  • Provide support from global relationship to local team to identify and secure potential risk of Out Of Stock, propose and monitor the action plan implemented to resolve delivery issue, support the quality issue’s corrective actions plan. Be the first level escalation in case of materials supply difficulties
  • Ensure the appropriate commercial agreement information are understood and implemented in each OC.
  • Provide coaching to OC procurement managers to all relevant questions regarding your categories and Procurement processes
  • Discuss risk and opportunities on regular basis and feedback to supplier management when relevant
  • Keep abreast of industry evolution and proactively plan to optimize supply; costs ; sustainability and innovation.
  • Ensure Procurement recommendations for all OC projects (Sourcing change, contracts extension, etc.)
  • Support OCs NPD for glass related projects & Deliver projects on time and in budget
  • Proactively identify capabilities and identifies suitable suppliers in line with the policy and global strategy
Continuous improvement & Sustainability:
  • Drives healthy VE pipeline and delivers VE targets for OC
  • Contribute to optimize costs and services to generate economy of scale where possible
  • Create strong internal relationship with internal stakeholders: SC, QA, NPD…
  • Leads and contribute to the identification of sustainability initiatives for material supply and contributes to company’s goals (plastic elimination, CO2 reductions)
  • Ensures Sedex compliance of the supply base according to global targets.
Administration and reporting:
  • Develops and owns procurement budget for the category
  • Educate OC Pears on supplier’s industry constraints and work to define relevant operating models to minimize proactively disruptions
  • Ensures Provalido appropriately reflects all category savings, cost avoidance and cash improvement projects.
  • Contributes to the global procurement team maturity by collaborating with other global category managers and OC procurement managers.

Skills and Experience

The Skills & Experience needed to create your legacy

  • Master’s in business / Economy or Engineering (specialization in purchasing is an asset) or any equivalent degree
  • Specialization in purchasing and/or procurement qualification – CIPS
  • Expected 10-15 years+ in procurement or supply chain positions
  • Packaging procurement categories experience desired but other background with strong interest to learn Packaging will be considered
  • Background in supply chain or finance is a plus 
  • F&B or FMCG background is a plus but no must.
  • Fluent English
  • Other languages are an asset
Functional Skills: 
  • Solid understanding of procurement function and category management (including industry analysis skills);
  • Strong capabilities for: supplier relationship management; sourcing strategy; industry analysis ; should-cost modelling 
  • Design and Planning (Maintain and develop process, anticipate consequences, build plans) ;
  • Understanding of procurement budgeting;
  • Understanding of project management and contribution of Procurement
  • Supply/ demand, forecasting understanding;
  • Digital Procurement
  • Experience in ESG
  • Negotiation Skills
Leadership Skills:

  • MS Office advanced (especially Excel)
  • SAP & BI (not mandatory)
