About the role

YOUR OPPORTUNITY

You will play a pivotal role in fuelling sustainable business growth through innovation for the AMEA region, you will work closely with the country and brand leads in each market, maximising the long term success of our innovation agenda. 
You will lead the performance management of our innovation pipeline, from pipeline planning to launch and post launch reviews. You will be instrumental in collating and communication information for the AMEA leadership team and partner with the global innovation team to continuously optimise innovation commercialisation at Bacardi. The role is highly cross functional, working with multiple senior stakeholders.

ABOUT YOU

You demonstrate a high learning agility to navigate multiple functions and quickly pick up market and channel related dynamics. You will be the AMEA innovation champion and must be able to act as 100% reliable source of information when it comes to projects, pipeline, performance and ways of working. You are experienced in managing multiple stakeholders.
You are passionate about innovation and love the creative friction that comes from working cross functions and borders. You are naturally curious and strongly understand what it means to have the consumer at the heart and be customer focussed. You are ambitious, entrepreneurial but realise that you need to go fast as a team and not as an individual.

Responsibilities

WITH OUR CONSUMER AT THE HEART, YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES WILL BE TO: 
  • Set the right conditions for markets to deliver the innovation financial goals for Bacardi AMEA
  • Lead the FY+2 pipeline choices cycle, enabling relevant and quality pipeline of NPD: white space identification, partnering with brands for consumer-centric & regionally relevant NPD, gap analysis, market and leadership buy-in
  • Lead new product development projects for the region (regionally/locally led) to ensure strong consumer-centricity (input on learning plan) and consult on product development activities (concept/pack/liquid)
  • Ensure innovation pipeline FY+1 is delivered on time in full by overseeing commercialisation of NPD: robust regional business case for scale, strong connections with countries, OCs, Brands/PLs, AMEALT; readiness of sell-in material and launch toolkits
  • Foster a culture of performance management in Innovation regionally: commercial rigour, KPI setting, M&E post launch reviews, external performance benchmarks, innovation P&L management 
  • Represent AMEA in global innovation forums, create opportunities for continuous improvement of the innovation process and synergies with other regions to influence the global innovation pipeline 
  • Drive innovation capability in the AMEA region by facilitating and contributing to global training rollouts and enable any specific innovation training for the region

Skills and Experience

THE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE NEEDED TO CREATE YOUR LEGACY:
  • Proven growth mindset with strong learning agility and leadership skills
  • Strong strategic ability with proven track record of gaining sustainable growth through innovation
  • Minimum 5 years relevant experience (innovation, marketing, category, commercial, ops)
  • Experienced in managing and influencing key stakeholders, candidates should demonstrate proven success to communicate/report/influence across levels, functions and geographies
  • Commercially astute and proficient in handling a P+L. Effective analytical skills and ability to turn date into insights, actions, business value
  • Ability to lead a cross-functional team and delegate effectively, inspires and engages others to deliver brilliant execution
  • Proven track record of people management – this role will have 1 direct report
  • English proficiency is a must. One of more AMEA languages an advantage
