About the role
- As a member of the leadership team, he/she will participate in driving a shared vision and a common sense of purpose across the team, functioning as a true business partner who understands all aspects of the business, not just the People strategy.
- He/she will lead the planning and execution of the people strategy and talent development across the country.
- As the HR leader for the country, he/she will be responsible for supporting and leading all people related programs, helping to drive success in the business and enabling a winning culture. This includes leading a team of HR professionals who mirror the culture and drive the execution of strategy.
Responsibilities
- Be an essential business partner for the Managing Director of India and executive team in all people related and organizational matters.
- Understand the inner workings of the business to ensure the right talent strategies to deliver the business objectives.
- Play a pivotal role in collaborating with the Regional & Global HR teams to develop and lead the implementation of global and regional HR strategies.
- Be a culture champion. Deliver the global people, diversity & culture agenda for the country and assuring adaptation to needs.
- Identify and develop the future leaders of the country through succession planning and talent management activities.
- Deliver a robust and value-add recruitment, onboarding, integration & retention strategy for the country aligned to global and regional strategy.
- Lead career development (e.g., coaching, evaluations / reviews, transfers, promotions, retirements, exits, etc.)
- Ensure that people are enabled, engaged, have a strong sense of Belonging and developed to deliver outstanding results through people engagement programs and initiatives.
- Manage employee budgets and allocates appropriate resources to the needs of the markets; directs cost optimisation and investments.
- Manage employee, regulatory and labour relations initiatives / actions.
- Cultivate an open-door policy for all employees, therefore continually supporting compliance and integrity in business activities
Skills and Experience
- Should be currently in HR Leadership withing a matrix organization, where the incumbent would be responsible to make strategic decisions for driving People & Culture priorities.
- Experience in leadership roles within a matrix organization.
- Strong general business knowledge, past executive team membership desired. Understand strategic business priorities and work highly collaboratively with business leaders to enable common goal of outstanding results.
- Proven experience in building and delivering effective people & culture strategies.
- Strong, inspiring people leader with drive to continuously improve and develop capabilities within the organization.
- Strong courage, negotiation skills and reasoning
- Excellent skills in building engagement and coaching culture
- Experience leading a full HR function, including budget management.
- People developer and team builder with an ability of embracing diversity of thinking and build strong teams
- MBA HR qualification or equivalent
- 15+ years of experience which includes holding Senior HR Leadership positions. FMCG/Consumer Goods organisation background is preferred.
- Proven experience in Strategic Business Partnering and driving Culture initiatives.
- Great communication skills and gravitas with the ability to present credibly to local, regional, and global stakeholders.
- Resilience and mental strength to deal with ambiguity and inspire and motivate the team.
- Inspiring primo leader with drive to continuously improve and develop capabilities within the organization.
- International experience is not mandatory but a bonus. Equally, this is a step in the direction of a regional or global career with Bacardi, so we are looking for talents who are globally mobile.
