About the role

Your Opportunity

This role will be responsible for driving tax compliance processes towards automation by building and leveraging tools and macros to enable data extraction, processing, and analysis.

This role will help you increase your knowledge in the tax related aspects of an ERP to enable tax compliance processes. This position would help translate business and operational data into tax reports and obligations and backwards, meaning ensuring that tax requirements and tax information is properly set in the ERP to enable further data extraction, analytics, and reporting.

The role will not only help the person increase knowledge in tax requirements for different legislations but would also allow the person to understand how tax requirements are translated into systems environments. This role will also help you increase the knowledge in tax by working with different markets and teams. Also, this position would help the person develop different soft skills due to the high interaction with many teams and functions (Finance & Non-Finance).

The candidate will deal with confidential and sensitive data and must ensure conformity with policies, procedures, and regulations of Bacardi and external government agencies.

Responsibilities

With our Consumer at the heart, your key focus will be to:
  • Build up and adjustment of automated tools to enable tax compliance reporting. These tools include but are not limited to macros, SQVIs, RPA, Power BI and Knime, etc. 
  • Conversion of existing macros into RPAs, Power BI or Knime flows and processes. 
  • Ensuring tax requirements and data configured in SAP is correct and it properly feeds tax compliance reports and obligations. This includes but is not limited to ensuring vendor, customer, invoices, accounts, customized reports – data and transactions are properly configured to generate correct tax compliance reports and obligations.
  • Ensuring tax law changes are properly set up in SAP. This includes but is not limited to electronic invoicing, electronic accounting, Financial Statements reporting for tax and audit purposes, etc. (i.e. SAFT). 
  • Administration, configuration and maintenance of SharePoint tools.  

Skills and Experience

The Skills & Experience needed to create your legacy
  • University degree – Information Technology – Systems.
  • Experience in using SAP is a must. Knowledge on SRM, Open Text, RPAs is a plus. 
  • Knowledge and/or experience in Tax or Accounting is a plus. 
  • Previous experience in Shared Services environment- preferred
  • Must be fluent in English (another language is a plus)
  • Proficiency with the MS Office Suite (particularly MS Excel) and MS SharePoint

  • Ability to explain technical concepts into more practical concepts and backwards. 
  • Detail oriented with the ability to capture information in a clear, concise manner and can adapt information for various audiences.
  • Ability to learn, understand and apply tax, accounting, and financial concepts.
  • Detail oriented with the ability to capture information in a clear, concise manner and can adapt information and messaging for various audiences.
  • Ability to interact with different teams in different time zones and with different backgrounds – including but not limited to IT, BES (Bacardi Enterprise Services) and Finance, among others.
