About the role

Your Opportunity

Be part of the Global Strategic Insights and Analytics team and guide the innovation development of our global iconic brands and key markets. Reporting to the Global VP, Strategic Insights & Analytics you will be embedded within the Marketing Transformation Innovation team working with the Marketing Officer and Global Innovation Director.

With innovation a key enabler of realizing our 10 year business strategy, you will be responsible for making sure that powerful insights and methodologies are delivered to shape how Bacardi identifies, develops, commercializes and evaluates consumer-centric product innovation. Ensuring that we delight our consumers in their future moments that matter and dramatically accelerate innovation’s contribution to building our iconic brands and driving stronger business growth is our mission.

With our Consumer at the heart, your key focus will be to:
  • Support the Global Innovation team and broader organization in further defining and implementing our Product Innovation Strategy that puts the consumer at the heart of our approach and dramatically increases innovation contribution 
  • Ignite the Consumer Insights agenda across the Innovation Community and be a passionate advocate for the voice and behaviors of consumers at every opportunity
  • Lead the ongoing consumer research and analysis approach to constantly uncover penetrating insights to refresh and predictively sharpen our consumer-based product innovation strategy
  • Refresh the Global Consumer Opportunity Spaces with deep and compelling consumer insights and trends that can be leveraged to unlock growth e.g. how we win with consumers in these spaces
  • Work in partnership with the Global Cultural Insights Director to embed key consumer and cultural trends into our innovation process to disrupt our consumers’ future moments that matter
  • Coach and guide the innovation project teams and wider Strategic Insights & Analytics (SIA) community to deliver compelling innovation projects that are grounded in meeting consumer needs while strengthening the equity of the brands
  • Partner with the team in identifying and delivering portfolio-wide platform innovation initiatives and new brand propositions that satisfy consumer needs that cannot be met by our current portfolio of brands
  • Partner with the team in raising our innovation capability in developing strong consumer based innovation pipelines through the codification and embedding of best practices and the development and roll out of the product innovation modules within the 'Bacardi Way of Growth' marketing training program
  • Champion the latest methodologies, disruptive thinking and digital enablers that can accelerate our consumer closeness and in turn our product innovation transformation
  • Build productive partnerships with research partners, including new technologies and platforms 

Skills and Experience

  • You have led transformational growth through category and consumer insight
  • You are skilled in using data to help senior stakeholders make tough decisions.  Highly skilled in synthesizing data from multiple sources, including consumer digital behaviors, and distilling crisp, tangible and meaningful business insights
  • You have conducted research projects at a global, regional, and local level with experience building and maintaining research partner relationships.
  • Comprehensive understanding of consumer-centered research methodologies and best in class innovation development processes
  • Experience in a broad range of quantitative and qualitative research methods and ability to apply them pragmatically to business issues
  • Digital Skills and willingness to accelerate digital learning
