About the role

WHAT DOES A INVENTORY CONTROL SUPERVISOR DO?

This position is responsible for the inventory accuracy and volume availability through the execution of cycle count program, physical inventory, slotting analysis, FIFO management and capacity utilization. 

ABOUT YOU

The ideal candidate will have previous experience in warehousing, inventory control and SOX compliance. 
The incumbent is expected to take initiative, think, and act in the spirit of continuous improvement, and escalate concerns appropriately.

Responsibilities

WITH OUR CONSUMER AT THE HEART, YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES WILL BE TO:
  • Responsible for managing and implementing company inventory polices & procedures.  
  • Ensures inventory documentation complies with SOX and company policies.
  • Analyzes daily cycle counts and reconciles discrepancies between physical count and perpetual record.
  • Analyze and publish monthly data indicating monthly and year-to-date totals of cycle count dollar variances.
  • Collaborate with Warehouse Leadership to ensure the warehousing processes and logistic activities are aligned with inventory management objectives.
  • Analyze receipts and inventory issues and take corrective action as appropriate.
  • Distribution leader for Physical Inventory.
  • Analyze product velocity and turns to update the slotting and replenishment strategy as warranted. 
  • Perform route cause analysis for inventory discrepancies.
  • Ensure FIFO is followed, the timely processing of returns and addressing misplaced inventory are addressed.  
  • Responsible for Quality Coordinator and 3PL Logistics Coordinator.

Skills and Experience


THE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE NEEDED TO CREATE YOUR LEGACY:
  • Ability to analyze data, create reports, maintain required SOX documentation.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, SAP, and WMS Systems.
  • Ability to operate Material Handling Equipment.

PERSONAL QUALITIES & EXPERIANCE
  • 100% Responsibility mindset.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • 5 years’ experience in warehousing and distribution.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain preferred.
